pickThis was all fluff on top with a little dose of some serious stuff underneath. Brooke is a doctoral candidate working on the ear wax of whales. She gets a surprising phone call from her best friend, Dylan, ex-nerd now underwear model asking if he can stay with her a week. This was so funny, and had some humor that made me think of Kristen Wiig. But the test for me with every romance is if it can make the teddy bear marshmallow that I am cry.......

Reggie @Lindy one of my quibbles with her first book in the series is that even though she says the series says featuring females strong in STEM, I thought we‘d get a little of Weike Wang Chemistry action, but no, all we got is that Penny is a chemist and that‘s it. So to have the first couple pages be about whale ear wax and how you tell a lot about a whales life from the earwax was refreshing. Lol 🐳 4y

Reggie @MicheleinPhilly just tell me. Do they end up together. Does he leave her for NYC? Lol . I had to tell myself that he doesn‘t go and he stays with her so I can sleep at night. But in my dark heart of hearts he goes, finds a girl, gets married and when bringing the wife to meet the mom, he tries to see her but she says no, knowing it is best for him. 😭 (edited) 4y
