Sea of Monsters: The Graphic Novel
Sea of Monsters: The Graphic Novel | Rick Riordan
7 posts | 28 read | 2 to read
Seventh grade has been surprisingly quiet for Percy Jackson. Not a single monster has set foot on his New York prep-school campus. But when an innocent game of dodgeball among Percy and his classmates turns into a death match against an ugly gang of cannibal giants, things get...well, ugly. And the unexpected arrival of his friend Annabeth brings more bad news: the magical borders that protect Camp Half-Blood have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and unless a cure is found, the only safe haven for demigods will be destroyed. In the follow-up to the wildly popular "The Lightning Thief, The Graphic Novel, "Percy and his friends must journey into the Sea of Monsters to save their camp. But first, Percy will discover a stunning new secret about his family--one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke. Featuring a faithful adaptation by Robert Venditti, stunning artwork by Attila Futaki, and sumptuous colors by newcomer Tamas Gaspar, Rick Riordan's blockbuster book comes to life in The Sea of Monsters, The Graphic Novel.

This is book two in the series and it's another fun and fast read that further delves into Greek mythology within its very own storyline. Highly recommend this author and series

Sargar114 Love this series! 11mo
KristiAhlers @Sargar114 me too! We are doing a whole thing for this series at work. I decided I needed to really delve into the Juv book series and I'm actually hooked 11mo

I quite enjoyed reading the second part of this series and liked the fast-paced adventures throughout. Overall, I still love the characters and enjoyed this read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This graphic novel adaptation was done pretty well. It still feels a little choppy compared to the book, but I think that‘s just part of the adaptation cost. I liked how Tyson was illustrated - he‘s one of my favorite characters. Sixth read for #MGMarch and another #SeriesRead2021

This graphic novel was fun but disappointing. I enjoyed the novels, and love to see adaptations. This one seemed to jump randomly from scene to scene at times, making it hard to follow what was happening despite reading the books. #graphicnovel #demigod #comic #magic #mythology #greekmythology #dyslexia #adhd

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have to say that this graphic novel was much more well done compared to the graphic novel version of “The Lightning Thief”. This graphic edition of “The Sea of Monsters” followed the book much closer and the illustrations were of better quality compared to its predecessor. I can‘t wait to see the adventure continue in “The Titan‘s Curse”.
