The Worst of All Possible Worlds
The Worst of All Possible Worlds | Alex White

The rag-tag crew of the Capricious hunts down rogue AI, ancient colony ships, and the biggest treasure in the universe in this pulse-pounding space adventure for fans of Firefly and The Expanse. The crew of the Capricious seems to leave a trail of devastation wherever they go. But with powerful enemies in pursuit and family and friends under attack planetside, there's no time to worry about all that. Ensnared by the legend of Origin, humanity's birthplace, and a long-dead form of magic, the Capricious takes off on a journey to find the first colony ship . . . and power that could bring down gods. This trilogy was such a joy- one of those series where you can see the author really grow into a fantastic writer over the course of the books.

Late again posting my results for this weekends #24B4Monday #readathon Pretty happy with my hours and finishing two books as well, one print one audio. Bk3 in The Salvagers trilogy did not disappoint, I love when an author mashes together magic & SciFi. It reminds me a lot of Anne McCaffreys worlds, especially her Crystal Singer trilogy, both worlds are run with arcane crystal energies. Highly recommend both series. Thanks again to our hosts!

A few more chapters of this before I call it a night on my #24B4Monday #readathon I‘m in the last stretch of this book, my reading‘s been pretty slow today, it‘s not been the best health day, and this also includes a few hrs of audiobooking Midnight Sun (yes I know it‘s trashy). Not sure how many hours I‘ll get in tomorrow, there‘s a lot of house & garden work to do but I‘ll try to get in some more audio while I‘m busy. How‘s your Saturday?

Andrew65 Superb time 👏👏👏🙌 4y

It‘s 6pm Friday here and I‘ve managed almost 7hrs of reading time so far in my #24B4Monday #Readathon So far the 3rd in the Salvagers series doesn‘t disappoint, the blend of science and magic is brilliant. I‘ve only seen it done well before in Space Unicorn Blues(go look that one up for a strange SciFi trip!) How‘s everyone else travelling so far?

jb72 Awesome 😎 4y

It‘s past midnight here so I‘m kicking off September‘s #24B4Monday #Readathon with a few chapters of the 3rd book in the Salvagers series before I crash into bed. This SciFi series is one of the best I‘ve read in awhile, the crew of the Capricious are such fun to read. Set in a universe where magic & science run alongside each other, they‘re on the hunt to track down a doomsday cult before they end the universe. How are you starting the ‘thon?

Read-y_Picker Ooh this looks like fun! #Stacked 4y
Andrew65 Great to have you with us, good luck. 😊👍 You‘re Reading some great books recently! 4y
Clwojick It hits midnight in three hours here, and I‘ll be at work all night. Since I‘m the only one in my department overnight, I‘ll be able to listen to some audiobooks though 😊 4y
Lizpixie @Read-y_Picker the first two are fabulous as well 4y
Lizpixie @Andrew65 wouldn‘t be anywhere else. I‘m trying to work through some of my backlog but they keep bringing out new books to tempt me🤩 @Clwojick I love audiobooks, they make it easy to be a sneaky reader🎧 4y

Book 3 has arrived. 🚀

KtheBookwyrm I need to get my hands on this! I think I can read it straight off without having to reread the first 2, even though it‘s been a year since I read them. 4y
