I love Zapata and will read every book she writes. That said, this is not her best work. I liked it, but it didn't have that extra special spark that I have come to expect from her. It is in the 3.5 to 4 ⭐️ range for me.

The book didn't get good until 70% into it, the rest of the book was boring to me. I was hoping this book would have been better. This is the 2nd Mariana Zapata book I've read by her, and I haven't been impressed with either one of them. Maybe I'm just not a fan of this author 🤷♀️
1. Texas
2. J. Daniels
3. I honestly have no idea..I need to clean through my GR list to see what I‘m still interested in. 😩
4. Corner of my couch, or in bed
5. Lingus - Mariana Zapata (one of my all time favorite books had me laughing all the way through) @tessavi #littenintro
The book I read isn‘t in the database and the tagged book is not what I read.
Luna and the Lie
I love this author and her slow burn, friends to lover romances. She truly has that niche down pat and each of her stories and characters are always so refreshing and new. I don‘t typically like slow burn romances but I love hers. The characters are always written well and the friendship to love warms my heart.

This book was so cute and absolutely hilarious. I loved the embarrassing situations the heroine found herself. I also love how the hero is an adult film star, but somehow Zapata made this another sexy slow burn romance. Not my favorite book by her (wall of Winnipeg ❤❤) but still awesome. #romantsy
Very funny, especially the first part. Overall I enjoyed it, but I got annoyed periodically when the MC would start getting judgmental. The audio was fun and I loved the friendships in this book, definitely the stuff the family you choose is made from. Good for some laughs, but not a favorite.

If I hadn't read 2 other books by this author I probably wouldn't recommend reading any others of hers, but I think this might have been her first novel - it was noticeably not as well developed as her other books. I didn't mind the idea of it but the execution wasn't great. The characters were crassly bland and one dimensional and it failed to enrapture. #romansty
A romance set at an adult film convention with the hero being an adult film star. It's good so far, though there are a surprising amount of slut-shaming comments. The author comes highly recommended, but maybe I should try a different book by her.
Tackling another #MarianaZapata audiobook. Callie Dalton is a fantastic narrator, her voice goes so well with all of these stories. I've heard mixed reviews on this book so we'll see 🤓
