Most people would describe Katherine Berger as a responsible girl with a big heart, a loyal friend who takes care of those close to her, and the possessor of a wicked sense of humor. There was something about her that most people didn't know. "My name is Kat Berger, and I love porn." When twenty-five-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she's both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expected was to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship, and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.

I love Zapata and will read every book she writes. That said, this is not her best work. I liked it, but it didn't have that extra special spark that I have come to expect from her. It is in the 3.5 to 4 ⭐️ range for me.

The book didn't get good until 70% into it, the rest of the book was boring to me. I was hoping this book would have been better. This is the 2nd Mariana Zapata book I've read by her, and I haven't been impressed with either one of them. Maybe I'm just not a fan of this author 🤷‍♀️

The book I read isn‘t in the database and the tagged book is not what I read.

Luna and the Lie

I love this author and her slow burn, friends to lover romances. She truly has that niche down pat and each of her stories and characters are always so refreshing and new. I don‘t typically like slow burn romances but I love hers. The characters are always written well and the friendship to love warms my heart.

This book was so cute and absolutely hilarious. I loved the embarrassing situations the heroine found herself. I also love how the hero is an adult film star, but somehow Zapata made this another sexy slow burn romance. Not my favorite book by her (wall of Winnipeg ❤❤) but still awesome. #romantsy

Very funny, especially the first part. Overall I enjoyed it, but I got annoyed periodically when the MC would start getting judgmental. The audio was fun and I loved the friendships in this book, definitely the stuff the family you choose is made from. Good for some laughs, but not a favorite.

3.5/5⭐️

🌟⭐⭐⭐⭐
If I hadn't read 2 other books by this author I probably wouldn't recommend reading any others of hers, but I think this might have been her first novel - it was noticeably not as well developed as her other books. I didn't mind the idea of it but the execution wasn't great. The characters were crassly bland and one dimensional and it failed to enrapture. #romansty

Another great slow burner from Mariana Zapata. Although this isn't my most favorite of all her books it was still a well written, entertaining read.

A romance set at an adult film convention with the hero being an adult film star. It's good so far, though there are a surprising amount of slut-shaming comments. The author comes highly recommended, but maybe I should try a different book by her.

Lauren_reading I haven't read this one - but Kulti was excellent. My friends that recommended her didn't like this one much. 8y
ImAnAdult @LaurenReads That's pretty much what I heard too! I love sports romances, so why I didn't start with one of those is beyond me. 8y
Lauren_reading I have Wall of Winnipeg too, but haven't read it yet 8y
ImAnAdult @LaurenReads Wall of Winnipeg was the one that was most recommended to me at a convention. I love marriage of convenience plots, especially ones that have a contemporary setting. 8y

Tackling another #MarianaZapata audiobook. Callie Dalton is a fantastic narrator, her voice goes so well with all of these stories. I've heard mixed reviews on this book so we'll see 🤓
