In this erotic thriller, motivational speaker Emily Vargas unknowingly becomes the object of desire for a man who kidnaps her with the desire to systematically break her. Pleasure and pain take on new meanings for Emily as she spends months as a slave. This story has some erotic and BDSM scenes but the core of the story is the psychological aspect and the Stockholm Syndrome like relationship that develops between them.

Loved this dark, gritty (think Sin City meets Blade Runner) story about vampires in Mexico. There's multiple species of vampires, Renfields, narcos, a detective turned vampire hunter and a blossoming love story (maybe? hopefully?). The only downfall is the ending. I didn't realize this was the start of a series so the ending definitely left me wanting more!

Picked this up as a freebie and glad I did not pay for it. This was just meh for me. Nothing outstanding and definitely won't read any of the others in the series.

This is the book of my childhood. I probably watched the movie a billion times as a kid and it's one of the few books I remember my mom reading to me as a child. I still have the tattered paperback that I will never give up. I came across the audiobook on Hoopla and since I haven't read it since I was in my teens I figured that it was time to revisit the book that gave me a love of fantasy.

A fun enemies to lovers story. Enjoyed the authors quirky writing style and unique characters.

WOW!! This story had me on the edge of my seat at times and laughing out loud at others.
Abby and Gretchen become best friends in the fourth grade and their friendship continues until things take a dramatic turn their sophomore year. Abby will do anything to save her best friend even going through hell and back. The story is set in the 80s, and if you remember that time this story will definitely spark your nostalgia.

Another wonderful read by Sonali Dev. This story is one of first loves reunited and uncovering the secrets that kept them apart. The narrator of the audiobook is fantastic and gives each character their own distinct voice, just as she did in A Bollywood Affair. Definitely check this book out.

Learned a lot about Issa and her life but was hoping for a little more of the awkward self-deprecating humor she displays on her show.

This book is a lot more than just a retelling of Cinderella. Really inventive concept. The audiobook is great. I'm definitely hooked!

From the first page I could not put it down! I liked that the author alternated the Before and After chapters. There were definitely some twists and turns that I did not expect. It was really interesting to watch Evelyn go from a woman scorned, obsessed with her husbands lover to a self confident, self possessed woman. Definitely check this book out!

This story is a fun romance with a great characters. The narrator was perfect for this story and gave each character their own distinct voice. I didn't know a whole lot about Indian culture before listening to this audiobook, but it didn't affect how much i enjoyed this book. Will definitely read more from this author.

I started off feeling like I could really empathize with Leigh having been in a relationship similar to hers and Jason's. As the book goes on, I started to get a little annoyed at Leigh letting herself be a doormat and obsessing about Jason for years after their breakup.This was compounded by her struggle with depression. In the end Leigh does get control of her depression and self esteem issues and grows into a woman comfortable in her own skin.

After an extensive search of Hoopla audiobooks, I've found my next story! Can't wait to dive into this romance 😍 The beautiful cover art is a plus too #audiobooks #hoopla
