Mark Aldridge takes us through the creation of Poirot in 1920s The Mysterious Affair at Styles to the present day and 2020s Death on the Nile with Kenneth Branagh. It is fascinating to read of Christie‘s changing attitudes to her detective and how the family and Agatha Christie Ltd work to keep the characters she created current.
