August was another disappointing month reading-wise, so while an honourable mention goes to one of my two September reads, The Cat Who Caught a Killer, for being a bit of fun, my choice for #12Booksof2024 goes to this November read, a delightful 1950s period piece.

pickI really enjoyed this satirical look at a rural community at a time when social mores were changing significantly.
*Squeee!* 🫖 Look what got pulled for #Bookspin (tagged) - I‘m very excited! 🫖 And No Friend But the Mountain for #DoubleSpin - which is that much more difficult, but has been on my tbr for a few years, I think.
My bingo board may not be the prettiest, but I still enjoyed making it. And am looking forward to colouring it in almost as much as I‘m looking forward to reading the books! 😁
...and isn‘t this fabulous? I ended up having a tea-themed birthday. The book just has the best title ever - thank you Helen @squirrelbrain - and it‘s gorgeous!
