I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do.

And having done this for a year now, I am not planning on continuing in to 2024!

Could not put this down once it got going! I couldn't wait to see how the multiple points of view and inner thoughts from different characters and flashbacks between two different vacations intertwined together. I thought I had it figured out a couple times and was wrong. Great twisty plot.
■TW: Sexual abuse, child neglect, short mentions of self harm and suicide. #winter #mystery

It‘s 1998 and two brothers head out to ski in the French Alps; only one returns. Twenty years later a group of not particularly likeable people are holidaying at the same resort when the other brother‘s body is found. How are any of them connected to the tragedy? This was a quick and forgettable thriller.

A quick thriller for my local book club - An accident at a French ski resort has repercussions twenty years later. As a group meet for business and skiing in a chalet in the Alps, events from their past come to the fore and a twenty year old crime may be avenged.

kspenmoll Sounds like fun!!! 3y

A captivating and absorbing mystery. It‘s well plotted with plenty of twists and turns and the odd red herring. There is a whole cast of mainly unlikeable characters and it‘s a tale where no-one is as they seem. The setting is gloriously atmospheric! I was gripped all the way through, right until I turned the last page. An exciting, edge of your seat type of story which will appeal to those who enjoy thrillers with more than a hint of suspense.

1998 - 2 young men on a skiing holiday take an ill-advised guided trip off-piste in bad weather. Only 1 returns & the other‘s body is lost. 20 years later his body is found, but someone wants what actually happened to stay hidden for good. 4🌟

TW: child neglect, details of a sexual assault.

Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, HarperCollins UK, for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley

I had no idea how they were all connected but it came together beautifully. I actually read this in one sitting as I didn't want to put it down. I was so curious to figure it all out. The story is told in past and present from various characters in the story. Some we know, one is a mystery. I began to figure out who they were towards the end. The plot is steady, building to a dramatic ending #TeamSlaughter #scarathlon2020 16pts
