The author of In an Instant delivers a heart-pounding and emotional roller-coaster ride of self-discovery in the tradition of Thelma and Louise. Needing to escape her abusive marriage, Hadley flees with her two kids, knowing it might be her only chance. A woman who can't even kill a spider, Hadley soon finds herself pushed to the limits as she fights to protect her family. Grace, new mother of baby Miles, desperately wants to put her rough past behind her for good, but she finds it impossible when her path crosses with Hadley's, and her quest for a new start quickly spirals out of control and turns into a terrifying flight for survival. Stronger together than apart, the two find their fates inextricably entwined, and as the danger closes in, each must decide how much she is willing to risk for the other. A powerful story of self-discovery, Hadley and Grace is the heart-racing tale of two women facing insurmountable odds, racing to stay one step ahead of the trouble that is chasing them, and discovering new kinds of love and family along the way.

Hadley needs to get away from her abusive husband. Grace just needs to get away. Through a wild series of events they are thrown together, whether they want to be or not, along with their 3 kids. It‘s a bit unrealistic but great fun with lots of action.

What a fantastic ride! The epilogue talks about writing a story akin to Thelma & Louise but added her own flair. I cheered for Hadley and Grace the entire time, if I were a nail biter I‘d have nubs for fingers. The perfect amount of drama, mystery, tragedy, and some humor here and there. Book #15 in 2022

Thelma and Louise with kids and men who aren't so bad 😄

This is the second book I have read by Redfearn and I like her. Both of the books I read were free on Kindle.

I really enjoyed this adventure! It‘s far fetched and you need to suspend reality a bit, but isn‘t that why we read for enjoyment? Hadley & Grace both need to get away. They each have a plan, and then it all goes haywire. They are a reluctant team at first, but the bond that grows is felt as the reader turns the pages. They are fiercely loyal women and this was a fun ride. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Happy Independence Day to all of my USA Litsy friends! This is how I am spending my afternoon. It is a perfect summer day here in MD. Hubby is golfing, kids are lounging, cookout later with just us and my oldest‘s GF. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

A great soon to be summer read which helped me get through end of school year stress. The two women with their kids bond and connect thru ‘Thelma and Louise‘ esque adventures. #bookspin for April!! @TheAromaofBooks #litsyatoz

I read this one and thought I was going to be disappointed. I thought it's too much like Thelma and Louise. I almost stopped reading it when that tie in hit me. I was not in the mood for a story based on that. But... this is a great story. It's a pager turner and in parts a real tearjerker. It made me laugh in a few places and get very angry in some. So lots of emotions. A tense yet sweet story.

Galentines Day started with Amy poehler in the Parks and Recreation sitcom, an annual celebration of female friendship. Hadley and Grace has a similar theme: friendship and survival

A modern day Thelma and Louise, but far better! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, even more than 'In An Instant' which ended up on my favorites list last year as my first 5 star Kindle First Reads choice. (This was also a Kindle First Reads.) It was an exciting page turning adventure. I'm terrible at reviews because I don't want to give things away, but know that Hadley & Grace made my 2021 favorites list which is saying something!

A pleasant read, if a bit unrealistic.

Hadley & Grace, an unlikely duo, with a tag-along family consisting of a baby, an autistic grade-schooler, and a sullen teenager, cross the country in a Trains, Planes, and Automobiles-like adventure, on the run from the FBI, Hadley‘s criminal husband Frank, and other local authorities.
