Lit myst. FRENCH Lit Myst. Thé translation seems un peu awkward in some places, so I‘m sure it will annoy me about to death, BUT I‘ve laughed twice already, so I‘m willing to see if I can learn to ignore the less than stellar prose. Probably much better in French.

Let's say that Laurain surely didn't write a bad book. I loved how it all comes together in the end and the insights into the work of a publishing house. BUT it is NOT the book I wanted to read. It is NOT the book the publisher makes us believe we're going to read. ⬇

Violaine has no idea who the author is, and, worse, she‘s experiencing gaps in her memories. What is the truth about the murders, and who is the real author of Sugar Flowers?
Hoopla claims this is funny. We shall see. I wonder about their classifications a lot.
so-soNot a bad mystery read - possibly the best I‘ve read with a clip art cover. I enjoyed the look inside the publishing industry but far prefer the Anthony Horowitz mysteries.
pickAnother fun read from Antoine Laurain. This time, Laurain takes us inside the Paris publishing world and the lead-up to the Prix Goncourt. The “unknown” author of a runaway bestseller must be found, as a number of recent deaths/murders bear a striking resemblance to those described in the book. The ending leaves a lingering question; but overall, it is a clever, noir—and very French—fictional ride. #readingaroundtheworld #France
