Not my favorite Valentino novel — however, I did empathize the most with this villain, Lady Tremaine! Her situation was definitely the most sympathetic and gives a lot more background on why she is so cruel to Cinderella. I love the twist of having Cinderella‘s father be the true villain. The only thing that I didn‘t like was the role of Circe in this novel. It didn‘t really seem to fit her character at all based on past novels.

Newest addition to my #TBR pile. My daughter just finished it. We have enjoyed this series together but I have three other books I NEED to finish this month and then I start Christmas reading. Another great book in this series. I love how they are separate but at the same time weave a story about the odd sisters through all of them.

Nice mix of Lady Tremaines story and the classic Disney film.

I absolutely love this series. This one was interesting. I did not think the story would be that way. I can never picture Cinderella's father to be so hateful and that's the main flaw of the story. I loved the happy ending though. 🥿👑👸🤴💙💜

Very rarely when you meet villains you stop and wonder what happened to make them that way. Usually you just see them as nasty, foul people who hate all things good. But people are far more complex than that, usually something happens to make them that way. Lady Tremaine could have been the hero of the story, but destiny had a cruel fate for her. Try as she might, she couldn't save herself, she had to become the villain.

Next up in the #villiansseries! Cold Hearted is the story of Cinderella's wicked stepmother and stepsisters. I have been looking forward to this one, so I have high expectations! I just started and so far so good, but we'll see. I am glad to Nanny back though!

First, I gotta say Fairy Godmother is a straight savage in this book. She gives zero 🦊 about that wicked Stepmother or her daughters. Evidently when Cindy went off to her happily ever after Fairy Godmother didn't want no trouble from those three and trapped them inside that chateau.😳 When Queen Cinderella asks her to help them years later, it's a No for her. (Savage!) Fairies don't help Villians👇

This series needs no introduction. This is book 8. I know some of these books have to be read in order, and some can be read independently of the series. I would check out the authors website for more info. If I am remembering my Disney villain's correctly, that is Cinderella's step mommy.
