I am more than halfway into this book and soooo confused! #bail I did take a cool picture of it at my dad‘s doctor appointment though!

Sorry I‘ve been inconsistently here. I‘ve been fighting migraines for the last week, and screens are a big trigger. But how can you not occasionally look?? I have an appointment with a neurologist next week, and I hope she can help. I went from 1 migraine day a month to about 7 per month in the last few months.

JamieArc I Hope you find answers and relief! 14mo

This is a quick read that's very misleadingly advertised. It's more of an exploration of emotional intimacy than it is a thriller. I like the premise and the way the story unfolds, but the author has a lot of assumptions about how readers will respond to the characters that don't really match up with how I responded. Which is a long way of saying I didn't really connect with the book.

3 hours, nominally a theme read. #TeamSlaughter #scarathlon

Pickpick

This book was really good for a short story
(about 100 pages). I very much enjoyed the main character Hongmei she was very dynamic. Getting to know her and her back story was very interesting and really brought out her humanity as a flawed individual who has made decisions in her past that still affect her in her present.

It was okay. I kept feeling like I missed the point. I was expecting more of a feeling of suspense and what I got was depressed. I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. It was an Amazon "First Reads" so it was free. Not bad for a free book.
