If this isn‘t the definition of love I don‘t want to know what is. It‘s also a fantastic way to start a book. 😍😀
My #librarybookhaul from yesterday. I went to pick up my hold for Always, in December for #SundayBuddyRead & the tagged book (Mary Bennet 💙) plus the 2 non-fiction titles caught my eye. Then the French vegetarian cookbook & Miss Benson‘s Beetle I picked up for $3 in the library bookstore.
Book🐔 approves but doubts I will get to all of the library books (Book 🐔 knows me too well!) 🤷🏻♀️
I got the chance to see a hilarious play entitled "Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberly" earlier this year and now I think Mary might be my favorite P&P character.
I was impressed at how this acted as a response to Pride and Prejudice without being a retelling. The characters have depth and growth and fit their modern setting perfectly. It looks like the author is planning on continuing with another sister, so I'm excited for that!

Thank you @Crinoline_Laphroaig for putting this on my radar! This story was utterly lovely- an introverted, awkward teen who feels constantly outshined by her four talented, outgoing, distinctive sisters tries to shed her "Mary Bennet-ness". I loved the main character, even in the moments when she made me cringe- probably because she was so recognizably a teenager, still discovering who and how to be. Don't we all still feel like that sometimes?
Trying to dig into a delightful new read, but #TomKitten is back on his book-stealing bullshit. #CatsOfLitsy 🖤😸

While I haven't discussed much, I am keeping up Chapter a Day #PemberLittens Readalong of North and South.
Tagged Book Review: Marnie is not very likeable at first but she grows on you. Ending was a bit twee but overall enjoyable story.
A surprisingly emotional read, about a high schooler in a competitive private boarding school who realizes that she‘s the Mary Bennet of her family and decides to change with the help of her determined room mate. Add in a library reading program for shelter pets and a scandal, and this book is a fast and good read. 3.5/5 stars, read if you want a modern interpretation of Pride and Prejudice with an emphasis on learning to love yourself.
I just popped into Barnes and Noble for a tea and spotted this. Looked charming and it matches my nails so I felt the need to bring it home.
Looks like something #PemberLittens @sprainedbrain @StayCurious would enjoy.💚💚💚💚💚
