The last book in Klune‘s YA trilogy, this one takes awhile to get going. I was helping my sister at a craft fair yesterday but was very focused on the last 30% of the story. In this one, the parents are very involved, plus a new character who is funny. Love the main 4 teens and their friendship.
The only negative is a graphic sex scene (it‘s very teenager but is much more descriptive than YA) because I‘m an adult & they‘re 17. #doublespin June

Mehso-so

The Bell family is enjoying a period of domestic tranquility but there is something rather odd about it.

A thrilling story, although it did take me a while to get my bearings. However, it did have very stilted dialogue in places, stilted to the point where I wondered if it was parodying some newer tropes in fanfic that came into fashion after my slash days.

The series as a whole totters between Pick and So-So but I think I will go with So-So

There is something very earnest about these books and sometimes I handle that better then others. But they are also infectious and warm.

it‘s slightly concerning how obsessed with this series/universe I am. Can‘t believe it‘s over. I love these characters, their powers, relationships, growth, awareness of societal issues and neuro-diverse rep. Nick and Seth are ONE OF MY FAVE QUEER COUPLES. PERIOD. I laugh so hard at these characters and I want to hug them profusely.

I totally forgot about this promo pin I signed up for until it arrived yesterday! 😂 I really loved the conclusion of this trilogy, it was utterly perfect - especially the epilogue! T.J. Klune is just...wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm channelling my inner Nicky when I say the final novel in this saga is RAD! I snorted with laughter more times than I can count, especially during the hilarious enema kit incident which left me in stitches (shout out to Aaron Bell - the best father any queer boy could ask for). The final showdown was spectacular. The joy and reminisce of that ending! I'm guilty of high-pitch squealing when a certain couple shared a special, adorable moment!

Is it totally dramatic to say that my whole life has lead up to the release of the final book in The Extraordinary Saga?

Rhetorical question, because it TOTALLY has!

I'm only a few pages in but I'm HOOKED! Nicky monologuing dramatically at the beginning had me in stitches! Also his hilarious seduction of Seth "atop a small building that had once been a yogurt shop but was now a hipster coffee lounge with logs instead of chairs because what" ?

library.dreamer I absolutely adored this entire trilogy 2y
TheIntrovertedDodoBird @library.dreamer Me too 😍. Heat Wave is officially my favourite in the entire series! It's nice to meet another Extraordinaries fan 🦸‍♂️. I only have a few chapters left and I never want it to end! Xx 2y
library.dreamer I'm so sad it's over now. 2y
TheIntrovertedDodoBird @library.dreamer Me too. I feel lost without Team Pyro Storm. The ending was absolutely marvellous, but I just can't believe it's over. I simply cannot wait to re-read them in a few months time ♡ Xx 2y
