Becoming a real fan of K Cottingham! This was one wild story and I did not expect it to get paranormal!
There‘s some lore in this small town, and nobody‘s talking!
🦌
Whatever the future might bring, whatever darkness might be lurking around the corner, she‘d always have this.
This was a good book and I really enjoyed the Lovecraftian twist at the end. After the summer of Finch's accdent, she gets into the exclusive Ulalume Academy. There she makes new friends including the one that is trapped in the tunnels under the school 👾
For those participating in the #Necronomathon this would be a good pick. @Patchshank

3 stars, This was creepy AF. It was okay, I liked most of the characters but I don't think we got enough of Sumera or Simon. Only the two very main characters were properly developed. I also thought the final fight scene was way too drawn out.
YA mix of Lovecraftian paranormal horror & dark academia. Strong gothic vibes & a solid narrative with some well-executed character composition & a good sapphic component. There's a dark Mean Girls vibe to the social aspect & the atmosphere is fun. The story also has some fantastic creepy vibes, with a few moments of strong violence & gore. A good under the covers read & definitely one to contemplate before reading it after dark. 4.5 stars.
I love that gothic themed reads are making a return! This book is set in Maine at an exclusive school. The characters were just creepy, just likable enough you‘ll take the journey. #readingchallenge2022
In honor of my sister‘s friend‘s novel getting published (& tweeted about by Stephen King!) we‘re talking dark academia today!
1. Yup! Love me some creepy gothic nonsense in the world of higher learning! 🤣
2. 👆🏻 Aforementioned sister‘s friend‘s book!
3. Ossa University. But the students call it the Ossuary. 😏
