I read this a few months ago but truthfully can‘t remember much of it. So couldn‘t have been the strongest story. I remember being entertained but there were confusing moments and some plot holes.

This was an utter disappointment. I was excited to read this book, and I really thought I would love it. Naomi, a therapist, lives on this grand piece of land with her husband. She operates her practice out of a little cottage on the grounds near her house. I was immediately put off by Naomi‘s character; she‘s naïve with terrible boundaries with her clients. ??♀️

This book was okay, not my fave by this author and some of it didn't make sense but it kept me on my toes. I liked the ending though and it was a quick and easy listen I got in Audible. I love the narrator too, Karissa Vacker I believe is the name, I've heard many stories told by this narrator and I've looked most of them.⭐⭐⭐✨
Next up on my TBR is the tagged book because I enjoy Sandie Jones and I'm always looking for a good domestic thriller-- they are definitely my guilty pleasure books. I've read the mixed reviews on this book but I'm excited to deliver into it anyway.
This one was ok. There wasn‘t a lot of backstory to the characters–the story just jumped right in–so I didn‘t always understand the decisions and motivations of some of the characters. I also saw much of the ending from a mile away, although I did enjoy the epilogue and what it brought to the story, especially after the ending of the main narrative. It‘s a fast-paced novel, but it left me wanting more.
This one‘s definitely missing some things, but it still kept me engaged with the suspense and twist!
A psychologist with questionable boundaries between herself and her clients to assist one of her clients, she seems to have secrets of her own that are starting to come to the surface. I enjoyed this book, it was a tangled web of messy, dark minded people which I always find fascinating when written this well. It was suspenseful twisty and a bit of a mind **CK, which I was all here for. ⭐⭐⭐
The worst therapist in the world (who would rather be her clients‘ friend) with NO CONCEPT of professional boundaries sees a patient go missing after (surprise) she rented out an apartment to him without telling her husband. In addition to that, it seemed really obvious to me from the start what was going on. Part of me wants to pan it, but I was entertained listening to it, so it gets bumped up a rating.
This had far too much going on that I found it increasingly difficult to stay interested as it became far too convoluted. The main character had some redeeming qualities but kept making the exact same mistake too often for me to remain sympathetic.
Ms. Jones keeps us guessing until the tense, surprise ending. 4/5

Expected publication date is August 16, 2022.
Naomi is a psychologist who primarily treats people who are victims of domestic abuse. The problem is that she gets too personally involved with some of her patients. Jacob, one of her clients, has decided to leave his abusive wife. Naomi lets him move into her guest house. When Jacob goes missing along with her case files on him, the police start asking questions. Now, it is Naomi who is in danger.
She wants to be everything to everyone, but making yourself indispensable is dangerous.
