"So funny, so original, so beautifully mad--I am seething with envy that I didn't write it myself. I adore rom coms like this, which push genre and achieve the impossible - leaving the reader not quite knowing how it's all going to end!"--Sophie Cousens, New York Times bestselling author of This Time Next Year In this funny and poignant novel, two strangers learn that their soul mate might be both as close as breath and as distant as a star, from British Fantasy Award recipient Sarah Lotz. Bee thinks she has everything: a successful business repurposing wedding dresses, and friends who love and support her. Shes given up on finding love, but thats fine. Theres always Tinder. Nick thinks he has nothing: his writing career has stalled after early promise and his marriage is on the rocks, but thats fine. Theres always gin. So when one of Nicks emails, a viciously funny screed intended for a non-paying client, accidentally pings into Bee's inbox, they decide to keep the conversation going. After all, they never have to meet. But the more they get to know each other, the more Bee and Nick realize they want to. They both notice strange pop culture or political references that crop up in their correspondence, but nothing odd enough to stop Bee and Nick for falling hard for each other. But when their efforts to meet in real life fail spectacularly, Bee and Nick discover that theyre actually living in near-identical but parallel worlds. With a universe between them, Bee and Nick will discover how far theyll go to beat impossible odds.

Loved this. Bridget Jones meets Blake Crouch meets a Simon Pegg comedy. Bee and Nick accidentally connect when his i-mail gets sent to her e-mail. They hit it off and soon try to meet each other only to find out they live in parallel universes. This a charming, romantic, sci-fi that made me chuckle so many times, unexpectedly. There just some really great epistolary email/imail back and forth. It also had great side characters. Pick!

Reggie @vivastory yeah, it seems real crazy to me that this author is the one who wrote The Three. She‘s talented. I have her 2 other books from the library to try out. 2mo
Reggie @Ruthiella @LeahBergen It was fun and delightful. It kept me up way past my bedtime. 2mo
Reggie @Lesliereadsalot Yes! So happy for them. 😁 2mo
Reggie @CarolynM I hope you like it.I have this friend who told me about the Hadron Collider they turned back on last year and how because of it we might be merging with other realities and that‘s how you get Mandela effects and she used to send me these freaky TikToks of people warning about it. And every time I got them I would think no, not another one, but I‘d still watch it. lol This reminded me of that but in a good, romantic way. (edited) 2mo
Centique This sounds BRILLIANT 😆 Stacked! 2mo

Man, this was great. I‘m coming to realize I‘m a bit of a sucker for an epistolary story, especially a romantic one. There‘s just something about the form that, done well, makes the chemistry between the leads so sparkling and palpable. And, funny thing, the speculative element of the premise actually made the necessary separation between the characters feel not only sharper but somehow more plausible. I loved it.

Really liked this book about two people who meet across time and can only communicate through email. The characters are so likable and they go to great lengths to meet each other. As a bonus, there‘s an ending you won‘t see coming!

I read books as an escape…unfortunately a lot of authors right now are bringing politics and social views into their writing. I get that enough from social media and the TV… I don‘t want it in my books too. It‘s made reading new releases a little bit difficult. This book had promise…it was a great story…but it was ruined with the politics and angry social views. I still give it 3 stars…I enjoyed it for the most part ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

TheRiehlDeal I agree! No politics in fiction! 2y

Wow, this book is tough to rate/review. Overall, I‘d say it‘s definitely a pick, but there were 100 pages or so when I wasn‘t sure whether or not I‘d finish it. I‘m glad I kept going with it, though. It really was well done. It does tackle a few trigger issues, though, so it‘s not really what I‘d call a lighthearted read. Recommended!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

LOVE A PARALLEL UNIVERSE ROMANCE. So interesting to explore how one's life could have been different if just one little thing had changed. #scifi #contemporaryromance
