This is an adorable story about an owl who wishes to be a knight. They get their chance when knights start disappearing, and everyone is surprised when owl is chosen. But it turns out owl is perfect for the job. This book is very adorable, and kids are going to love it. As an adult I am fascinated by the illustrations and would want any of them as artwork for my walls.

This story has a cute pun to it. Being a “night owl“ the owl becomes a “knight“. I think this story can be super sweet to read to students and learn more about them, whether they are night owls or not. While the students get to learn about each other.

Knight Owl, 2022. A Caldecott Honor Book. This is a story about an who owl always wanted to become a knight. He was hard-working, brave, and clever. He was put on knight night watch. When a dragon came to eat the owl for a midnight snack. The owl was brave and offered him a pizza instead. Soon he became friends with the dragon.

“They talked about how each of them had hatched from eggs, how much they liked the night, and how flying was hard to explain to someone who had never done it before“.

I enjoyed reading this book, this would be a fun read in a classroom. Although the story may seem simple, you could go in depth on each page and explore other meanings.

Knight Owl was a 2023 Caldecott honor. This book is about an owl who wants to become a knight and finds the perfect opportunity to lead the night watch. This is a fun story about bravery and belonging. The illustrations fit the story well and represent who the owl is feeling.

Knight School was hard, but Owl worked and worked. He graduated with honor, as all knights do.

Can you see what mom is making for dinner? The dead mice on the trencher make up for the gender stereotypes in this illustration. I loved the book, don't get me wrong. Owl is clever and adorable.

5⭐ I mean, look at that brave little owl! Can it get any cuter? I really loved this little book about bravery, finding common ground, and following your dreams. The illustrations are unbelievably cute and luscious, and the story is quite fun. And, as a player of D&D that is currently playing a small-size, cleric owlin, I just had to get it.

Fantastic and sooo cute! One of my new favorite kid books. Explores themes of perseverance, bravery, and friendship. Recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A cute, heartwarming tale about a clever little owl with big dreams who's becomes the hero through kindness and cleverness. We loved this one! He has always dreamed of being a real knight, his first chance to defend the castle is by doing a Knight Night Shift, since he's nocturnal he will stay awake. When the intruder comes he defeats him with a good idea and friendliness. Turning a foe into a new friend! Available March 15th! #kidsbookreview
