pickOn a Quiet Street, was exciting and fast. Cora has a husband that she suspects is cheating, Paige and her husband Grant lose their grown child during a car accident, but Paige suspects it was murder and is doing what she can after her local police refuse to put anymore effort into the case. The neighbor next door recently got married to a very quiet, anxious woman. They seem strange. This book had so many turns and I enjoyed it a bunch.
so-soI love domestic thrillers, but this one did not work for me. I found all the characters unlikable and the story beyond unbelievable.
Currently listening on Hoopla. The narration is a little annoying, but I think the character is supposed to sound needy and whiny 👍🏼
pickOoh, this is one of the better domestic psych thrillers I've read in a while! I was hooked right from the start, and found the characters and twists to be very compelling. While things may look normal from the outside looking in, there's a whole lot of drama happening on this quiet street! I can't even remember how this book got on my radar but I'm sure glad that it did 😱
pickThis was a good listen but I struggled with Imogen Church as the narrator. I love Imogen Church but she did a lot of this book with an American accent and she did great but she had to depict people yelling and screaming at each other a lot and it was a little off putting on top of the American accent. I think I would've liked it better read it. It fresh in some spots but overall I'd call it a pick. ⭐⭐⭐✨
