so-so

The plot was so-so but I enjoyed the setting and characters. I especially liked reading it while I was vacationing in the Cotswolds. We stayed in Blockley Village, where Marion Chesney, a.k.a. M. C. Beaton, had lived.

Book 16 in the Agatha Raisin series is just as enjoyable as the rest. The murders in this one (the main one particularly) were a bit more gruesome than usual. I love listening to these on #audiobook while cooking and doing chores around the house, I find it very relaxing. 3.5 ⭐️

I've only read one other Agatha Raisin book, the first, a long time ago. I can't decide if I like her character or not. I did figure out part of the mystery. And I was totally with Agatha when it came to her thoughts on Mrs. Smedley. I'm not necessarily not going to read the series, but I'm not chomping at the bit to do so either. #cozyinthesun @ferskner @Librarybelle

Librarybelle I adore Agatha, but she‘s very cantankerous and has a strong personality. I tend to like unlikeable characters, haha! 5y

Can Agatha find out the reason behind the new village paragons murder?
Definitely recommend!
