Four brand-new horror novellas from “a modern-day Algernon Blackwood” all about books, stories, manuscripts – the written word has never had sharper teeth… BOOKS CAN BE DEADLY From the bestselling author of Come with Me, four standalone horror novellas set in a shared universe! In The Skin of Her Teeth, a cursed novel drives people to their deaths. A delivery job turns deadly in The Dark Brothers’ Last Ride. In This Book Belongs to Olo, a lonely child has dangerous control over an usual pop-up book. A choose-your-own adventure game spirals into an uncanny reality in The Story. Full of creepy, page-turning suspense, these collected novellas are perfect for fans of Paul Tremblay, Stephen King and Joe Hill.

This is a book containing four novellas and all the stories revolve around a book. I‘ve never read anything by this author, but he does seem to have quite a list of novels that have been published. Just based on these four stories I would surmise that his specialty is psychological horror and he does a passable job of it. If you‘re a horror fan you might like to check this out.

Four new novellas by Ronald Malfi. I liked each of them They all have something to do with books and writers, and each has a haunting in its own way.

This was a really good novella collection! And the shorter stories worked well with my current attention span issues 🤣. The book is comprised of 4 novellas all within the same universe (characters nonchalantly mentioned in multiple stories, etc.) and they all felt like twilight zone episodes written by Stephen King (or that‘s what they reminded me of anyways). My favorite was This Book Belongs to Olo, which is truly a twisted concept. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Full of creepiness. I read this book over Halloween and it was perfect.

I loved all the stories in this book, but my favorite is about a young boy who likes to wear a #Mask and write stories.

Loved this! 👻💀

Ronald Malfi has become a must-read author for me. This book contains 4 novellas, all centered on a book and/or writing.

The Skin of Her Teeth: This first read is about a book being turned into a screenplay but very strange things happen to everyone involved. It was intense and creepy with some interesting twists.

The Dark Brothers' Last Ride: Two brothers who are just a bit shady are asked to deliver a book. Sounds easy. ⬇⬇

Addison_Reads The brothers learn quickly that this book is something unholy. Dark forces and the occult play a big role in the events that unfold in this heart pounding tale. 2y
Addison_Reads This Book Belongs to Olo: My favorite of the collection is the story of a lonely little boy who writes a book that comes to life in a very terrifying way. Such a great creepy read! 2y
Addison_Reads The Story: This last novella is like a Choose Your Own Adventure, Horror Edition, inside a story about a friend trying to find answers to why his friend killed herself. Great structure, and a chilling ending. 2y
jlhammar I have Come With Me on my shelves. Looking forward to it! 2y
