After seeing an exhibit @ the Indiana Historical Society on Eva Kor I wanted to know more. This slim book is perfect. Time after time she almost died in Auschwitz, but she survived in order to save her twin sister. After the war she experienced communist rule in Romania, serving in the Israeli army & a move to the USA when she didn‘t speak English. Her unbelievable choice to forgive the Nazi doctors who experimented on her is shocking & inspiring.

This is a very short read. The situation that twins were forced into during the Holocaust is heart breaking..

This is so powerful to me. I had seen her in an interview a couple of years ago talking about this and how people couldn't understand how she could forgive what was done to her.

This is the first first hand account I've read from an Auschwitz survivor, though I've watched an interview with Eva Kor before. There really are no words to describe how emotional I felt reading it.

What a horrible story. A short book page Turner and one I want to reread to realise how lucky I am! Lockdown is nothing compared to what these people went through.

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz. In memory of those who are no longer able to be heard I read the above book. Eva Mosez Kor passed away this July, in Poland, where she was guiding a group. How telling that she died in Auschwitz, the place she survived but her parents & 2 older sisters were killed.

I‘m off to London this weekend for a Holocaust teacher training event, so I thought this might be an appropriate book to read on the train. Eva Mozes Kor is a survivor whose testimony I‘ve used in my lessons for years, so I‘m really interested to learn about her experiences in more depth.

A quick, heartbreaking read adapted for young adult reading. I breezed through the first half of this book and then realized I had been holding my breath... Fans of Elie Wiesel's work or history enthusiasts in general will enjoy this.

My current read... Definitely a change from what I've been reading the past few months.

Being critical I would say the writings a little rough. However this isn't written by an author and it's her voice. Not a TON of information but still a story that's important to be aware of.

Biography told by Eva Mozes Kor, a survivor of Dr. Mengele in the Auschwitz death camps. This story is intended for young adults and I would recommend it for upper middle school and high school. Books like these should be a required read so history never repeats itself.
