I grew rather fond of the cast of this maudlin collection of interwoven stories by Rebecca Barry. Not for everyone, but definitely a pick for me. 🍺🍸🍷🍹

Because when you are in the midst of reading three other books, what else do you do but visit the library for more books? #bookhaul #libraryhaul #AmIRight?

Terry Macmillan was recently interviewed by the NYT and, in response to the question What's the last great book you've read, recommended this gem. It is a novel in stories about friends and acquaintances who hash out their lives in the local pub. A slow burn, not plot driven. Beautifully written and so tender. Heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time.

Bookreasons.com I love books about bars. If you haven't read The Tender Bar, add it to your stack. 8y

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories - actually described as "a novel in stories." Quirky characters with interesting, sometimes heart breaking, lives.
