Everyone has a story. But not everyone's story is true. When a young woman vanishes from her remote Greek islands estate, her best friend races to find her, using clues found in the explosive manuscript she left behind Gia and Abby have been friends since childhood, forever bonded by the tragedy that unfolded in Greece when they were eighteen. Now thirty, heiress Gia is back in Greece with her shiny new husband, entertaining glamorous guests with champagne under the hot Mediterranean sun, while bookish Abby is working fourteen-hour-days as an attorney. When Gia invites Abby on an all-expenses-paid trip to Sweden to celebrate her birthday, Abbys thrilled to reconnect. But the day of her flight, Abby receives an ominous email that threatens to unearth the skeletons of her past, and when she and Gias brother Benny arrive in Sweden, Gia isnt there. Worried, Abby and Benny fly to Greece, where they find Gias beachfront estate eerily deserted, the sole clue to her whereabouts the manuscript she penned, detailing the events leading up to her disappearance. Gias narrative reveals the dark truth about her provocative new marriage and the dirty secrets of their seductive guests, a story almost too scandalous to be believed. But the pages end abruptly, leaving more questions than answers. How much of Gias story is true? Where is she now? And will Abby find her before its too late?

Despite their differences, Abby and Gia have been best friends since they met at age 12. Gia‘s birthday approaches and things have been strained since Abby refused to participate in Gia‘s wedding to a man she had only known for a month! But when Gia doesn‘t show, Abby and Gia‘s brother are worried. Gia‘s manuscript about her marriage make up the other half of this riveting summer thriller. The Grecian island backdrop adds to the fun of this debut!

Gia and Abby have been friends since they were girls. They kind of separated until recently when Gia invites Abby to Greece for the summer. Abby gets a mysterious email and when Abby and Benny arrive in Greece, Gia is missing.

EadieB They find a manuscript detailing events leading up to Gia's disappearance and with more questions for Abby and Benny. I only read 1/2 of this book and then gave up on it. If you like books like this, then you would love it. But I didn't feel the book was for me. 7mo

This is a great, fast-paced novel about 2 girlfriends who re-unite years after their meeting for Gia‘s 30th birthday. Gia‘s been married to Garrett for 3 months and things seem “odd” as Abby was in love with Gia‘s brother Benny but he turns up with a girlfriend. Wild and crazy, the book reveals secrets and lies from the past and present!
