Wow! I really enjoyed this installment of the Vampire Chronicles. I can't believe that Lestat was in a coma for years because of Memnoch. I give this one 4.5/5🍪

1. Not really but this year I will be reading the tagged book. Just cause that's where I'm at in the vamp chronicles.

I very rarely bail, but I‘m calling it on both this book and the rest of Anne Rice‘s vampire series.

I thought I would at least get through this one, despite hating the last two, since it has a Mayfair Witch and Louis, but I just can‘t take any more David Talbot narrative and his old-guy-lusting-after-a teenager thing. 🤢

Pretty good read. Much better than the last book. Pretty decent story. Well written.

Only because I'm acutely aware of this series' cover art. On the left is what I ordered, on the right is what I received. Can't even trust Amazon! I've resigned myself to having a mismatched collection. It's what is on the inside that matters.
