Loved this just like every other Kalynn Bayron book I've read. The villain is fantastic! My only complaint is I would have liked to spend more time in the creepy sentient castle of the Knight.

This likely affected my review, yet it really bothered me that I swear I‘ve read half this story before years ago.
Otherwise, this was a decent book. I wish there was a little bit more connection between what happened with the Knight at the end and earlier in the story. It was a n ie twist, though it felt disjointed. The end and beginning just felt like totally different stories
I absolutely adore Kalynn Bayrons books, but I do think I would have liked this in paper more than I did the audio, and I wish I‘d read it that way. I just didn‘t feel the narration sadly. Because the story was AWESOME, genuinely quite scary and unpredictable.
LOVED IT. I was worried because I thought this would be related to Cinderella is Dead, which wasn‘t totally for me… but it wasn‘t and the fairytale references & imagery were elaborate & fun. I loved the characters, it was so good!
I was in need of a fairytale, and this provided; going above and beyond to give me a fun and immersive experience. It puts such a creative spin on Snow White, with intriguing twists and a tough, likable protagonist. I enjoyed Cinderella is Dead, too, so I hope she writes more of these standalones!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
It is easier to track an animal, or a person, if it is bleeding.

I've been craving a fairytale retelling and was thrilled to stumble across this one!
I loved Cinderella is Dead and really hoped this one would be just as great. Unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. The characters didn't feel developed enough, nor did the story. Really disappointing.
Spent the night at the hospital with my sister and her newborn so I'm thrilled, exhausted, and will probably be reading is spurts the next couple weeks as I alternate helping with my toddler nephew and newborn nephew #WeekendReads
