Cinfhen Awesomeness 5y
Mdargusch These books are nice little British mysteries but I think the covers might be better than the books. 😆 @Cinfhen @Blaire @LeahBergen @batsy @BarbaraBB 5y
Cinfhen Im finding that seems to be the case for A LOT of these gorgeous covers 😝 5y
Blaire @Mdargusch @cinfhen @leahbergen @batsy @barbarabb that is a good marketing strategy because I will totally own up to judging (and buying) a book by its cover. 😂😍😂 5y
Reviewsbylola I‘ve got my eye on these. And yes, me too! @Blaire 5y

Mehso-so

Not bad, but not the best written of the British Library Crime Classics I've read so far. So many deaths, all of them essentially locked room mysteries? Come on!

This was all right. The story bordered on farcical at times, and the action moved along so choppily in places that I flipped back through the book, thinking I'd accidentally skipped a couple of pages. Not sure whether the culprit could be predicted.

Bringing out the big guns, tea-wise, for#bookandbreakfast. It's snowing briskly and I think the "company-sized" teapot is warranted. Tea is DavidsTea Chocolate Chili Chai, and I am still enjoying toast with maple jelly.

brilliantglow Chocolate chili Chai is one of my favourites❤ and now that I've seen you do it, I think I'm also going to brew myself a nice big pot of tea for this chilly snowy day off. I'm hoping to finish or come very close to finishing Crooked Kingdom today. Hmm now to decide which tea I want to brew. 7y
rabbitprincess @BookishMarginalia It was delicious! @brilliantglow It makes the whole kitchen smell yummy! A big pot of tea and a book sounds like a perfect way to spend the afternoon. 7y

brilliantglow It really does! I decided on a pot of Bubbie's Baklava. Such a great smelling tea that makes you feel all nice and warm and cozy. Which helps distract from the mess of snow outside today even if it's not as cold as it has been. 7y
rabbitprincess @brilliantglow Yes it was so cold here over the past few days! Thank goodness for fleecy tights and wool socks. 7y
brilliantglow Oh yes! I have "reading socks" from Indigo. I haven't taken them off the last week haha except for when I've had to work. 7y
