A short, autobiographical story that packs a punch. I haven‘t read Kinsella in years but I am so glad I picked this up. A author receives a devastating diagnosis and faces medical challenges, the need to share painful news with her children, and the worst kind of uncertainty. I definitely shed some tears.

Ahh this was so good!! Kind of heartbreaking but hopeful, I listened to the whole story while out shopping. I couldn‘t stop! And the fact that this is autobiographical made it mean so much more! Definitely recommend if you want a quick, heartfelt story. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a relatively short book but it told such a brave story. It is basically an autobiography by Sophie Kinsella who is currently fighting the same cancer that the main character is fighting. She writes of her experience with diagnosis, acceptance, telling her children, and undergoing treatment. I can‘t imagine going through this and then writing a novel about it. It is definitely a book worth reading and I would highly recommend it.

I‘ve read lots of SK but decided her books weren‘t really by thing anymore, so I was going to skip this but grabbed it as a skip the line loan on a whim. I went in completely blind and was floored by this bittersweet story. It‘s so good, with an unmissable author‘s note. I had no idea.

Without doubt this is the skinniest BOTM book I‘ve ever purchased, but it was worth every penny. It‘s filled with hope, love, and humor. And yet my tears landed on pages knowing this is only fictional insofar as it‘s written by a successful novelist who wants to retain creative license to her work. 🥰

Fiction mimicing real life! I loved this fictionalized version of Kinsella's own personal story about her life and experience dealing with a cancer diagnosis and recovery. A moving look behind the curtain, so to speak. #audiobook

I took a break from murder and mayhem for the day to read this quick fiction/autobiographical novella. It was such a short story but still packed with inspiration, joy, laughter and tears throughout the pages!❤️

Having recently received a breast cancer diagnosis I was fearful of reading Sophie Kinsella‘s autobiographical novella of her brain cancer journey. This beautifully written story of Eve, a writer diagnosed with glioblastoma, is heartbreaking but also honest, hopeful and uplifting. Through the fear of her diagnosis and difficult rehabilitation, Eve faces her circumstances with resilience, positivity and a wonderful sense of humour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
