I‘m tempted to “so-so” this book because it took me so long to read, but it probably doesn‘t deserve that treatment when it had to duel with my work schedule. An interesting compilation of many soldiers‘ experience during the 1914 Christmas truce with many hat tips to the place it found in fiction. I also enjoyed the “what if” chapter that speculated about if the impact had lasted. The last of my 2020 #bookspin reads. It‘s December‘s #doublespin

It is so wonderful to be reminded, in this crazy hectic world, of the good in people, even in times of hate and war. The kind of good that give people no desire to continue a war and that honors a celebration revered by many for the love it brings.

Instead of our usual Christian book club meeting, our church youth went walking through McAdenville (also endearingly known as Christmastown) last night and what a beautiful night it was! Christmas here we come!
