What have I just read?! I *think* it's an account of a breakdown (possibly exacerbated by concussion, infection and hunger) but in another world it might be the testament of a discredited saint. There's a post-apocalyptic vibe, but maybe that's only in Buckmaster's consciousness and his rejection of the modern human world.
Throughout I had Julian Cope's song, Autogeddon Blues, going round in my head.
Vivid, bewildering, frustrating, compelling.
