Third tasty treat from this book - cranberry orange scones. 😋

I know scones are ubiquitous in the UK, but not so much in the US, at least not in my circles. I‘ll be making these very quick & easy bites again and I‘m anxious to try my hand at savory versions as well.

Hestapleton I am OBSESSED with budget bytes! I‘ve cooked a TON of her stuff over the years. 4y
Tamra @Hestapleton do you use the cookbook or just the website? 4y
Hestapleton @Tamra I use her website. I find it much more helpful than her cookbook - more recipes and more step by step pictures. She has a really nice recipe index on her website too. 4y

Tamra @Hestapleton I will check it out then before I decide whether to buy the book. 👍🏾 Right now I have a copy from the library. 4y
KathyWheeler I like her website a lot. I‘ve never seen the book though. 4y
Tamra @KathyWheeler I had no idea she was so popular! 4y
Lauram That scone looks great! 4y
Tamra @Lauram they were a hit for everyone except the kid with the super sweet tooth. 😆 These are not overly sugary, more biscuit like. 4y
LeahBergen I do love scones. 💗 4y

As beautiful as “cheffy” cookbooks are, I‘m finding an equal pleasure in the books that feed everyday hunger with simple ingredients from the pantry.

This is kid breakfast for as long as it lasts: pumpkin oatmeal bake with apples and blueberries. It isn‘t as visually appealing as it tastes. 😋

KathyWheeler I like the budget bytes website but have never gotten the cookbook. 4y
Tamra @KathyWheeler I didn‘t realize it was a website, so I‘ll check it out! 4y
KathyWheeler @Tamra my son introduced me to it. 4y

Cathythoughts This looks good. 👍🏻I make a similar one with oats, mashed bananas, eggs, maple syrup, & blueberries... 4y

This is my all time favorite healthy recipe, especially when I‘m sick. Hot and Sour soup with tofu and veggies (mushrooms, carrots, cabbage). It‘s perfectly sour and spicy, and the veggies are the perfect complement. I could eat this all the time. #bfcr2 #healthyrecipe

This was a great read. I love her blog and have learned so much from her! I wish there were more step by step instruction pictures, but it's still great. (I'm more of a visual learner in terms of cooking and baking☺) #LRC1 #litsyreadingchallenge
