Book haul from an art museum book sale benefiting the SF public library 😄- for any Bay Area peeps, it‘s going on at SFMoMA tomorrow as well!!

erzascarletbookgasm Nice tote and haul! 6y
Aimeesue I loved A Voyage Long and Strange. Kind of like Sarah Vowell's Assassination Vacation in the way Horwitz travels around to visit the places he writes about, but more focused on the history. Great read! 6y

Velvetfur Genghis Khan!! I'm fascinated by him, what's the title and author of that book, please? Oh and I love that tote too 😊 6y
Velvetfur Sorry, I can see the title is Genghis Khan, but I'm wondering if there's also a subtitle 😊 6y
scowler1 That Genghis Khan book is great. I've read it twice and keep picking it up when I want to bore someone with a random bit of history. 6y

I am listening to this on audio right now, and it‘s so fun! Having grown up in the Southwest, I wasn‘t as unaware of Spanish exploration as Horwitz was before he wrote this. But if you‘ve ever been curious about North America between 1492 and the Pilgrim landing, you should definitely read this! #history #audiobook

From my TBR. I really liked Horwitz‘ Confederates in the Attic and Blue Latitudes from way back when 😀

LeahBergen I have this on my TBR (with a different cover). 👍🏼 8y
Hollie @LeahBergen this cover definitely doesn't scream "history book" to me! 8y

Some may choose booze but this is my coping mechanism today. NOvember (not buying books this month) was going well but I have been too sorely provoked. And they were from a 5 forQ9 charity shop.

EmilyAnne Looks like a pretty good coping mechanism to me ❤️ 8y
LauraBeth I'm on board with this coping mechanism 😀🍨🍧 8y
Libby1 Thanks, @EmilyAnne and @LauraBeth . Sending hugs your way. ❤️ 8y
