I guess I wasn‘t quite ready to leave Hogwarts behind. My daughter and I went to the Oregon Symphony‘s performance of HP & the Half Blood Prince last night. Since the film has Draco‘s big moment it seemed fitting to read Tom‘s memoir. It‘s good. He was a bit of scamp. In 7 films he had 32 mins of screen time which seems unreal.

Clwojick Oooo spot on! Way to go! 💖 1y
Cinfhen Fabulous color match 🙌🏻💕 1y
AnneCecilie It goes to show that it doesn‘t matter how much screen time you have, but you do with the minutes you have. I would have guessed much more than 32 minutes. 1y

Librarybelle I would have guessed way more minutes too, @AnneCecilie ! 1y
LaraReads Really great matching! This is awesome! 1y
squirrelbrain Wow - only 32 minutes?! 1y
Deblovestoread @AnneCecilie @squirrelbrain @Librarybelle I was so shocked at that stat. His presence is much larger than the minutes would imply. 1y
UwannaPublishme I guess you can make quite an impact in 32 minutes! That‘s unbelievable! 1y

Another good, short read from Snyder, this is an indictment of the US medical system and the government that perpetuates it. Snyder was ill at the very end of 2019 and saw the beginnings of COVID from his recovery bed. Worth a read. #52Books #subtitle #Roll100

LaraReads This looks really interesting! 1y
Librarybelle This was a good book! 1y
squirrelbrain Sounds rather 😡 inducing. 1y
ravenlee @LaraReads @squirrelbrain you‘re both right! He lays out four propositions (such as Doctors Should Be in Charge) that are so obvious and straightforward yet seem so impossible anymore. 1y

The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking #subtitle #aprilbookshowers

Oryx This was a really fascinating read. Made me feel less apologist about being an introvert. 7y

So maybe you all can help me? What's the #subtitle here? I think it should be the line that starts "An ancient book...". But if I'm correct, then which of the remaining titles is the title and what's the other one called? I'm very confused. These are not things they teach in law school or if they did it's been too long and I've forgotten. #aprilbookshowers

Missusb My understanding is that there is no subtitle. The book's title is The Emerald Atlas. The Books of Beginnings looks like the series name. The Ancient line is more like a teaser, a catch cry, a Tagline... #mytwocents @Texreader #cantresist #letmelibrarianthatforyou #alwayswantedachancetodothat #thanks (edited) 7y
Zelma I concur with @Missusb 👍 7y

Still playing with this cookbook, which has a descriptive #subtitle: Extraordinary Recipes from the Restaurant that Is Reinventing Vegan Cuisine. Supper tonight: Roasted Vegetables (fennel, parsnip, rutabaga) with Clementine Beurre Blanc on Buckwheat Noodles. So good!
@RealLifeReading

DivineDiana Sounds and looks scrumptious! 7y
RealLifeReading Wow! That description of your meal is intriguing! 7y
Lindy @DivineDiana Thanks. I substituted buckwheat noodles for toasted buckwheat groats and that also made food prep & cooking time shorter. 7y

Lindy @RealLifeReading I don't make beurre blanc often, yet it's simple and makes anything delicious. 😋 7y
DivineDiana I think I would prefer noodles to groats too! 🤔 7y

#aprilbookshowers, day 21. I haven't been able to ever get into this one (it's a behemoth and takes a lot of logic brain power), but I've always liked the #subtitle

I wanted to like this, and it's probably very good, but it was a #dnf for me. But, awesome cover and excellent #subtitle #aprilbookshowers @RealLifeReading
