pick29/52 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟- I absolutely loved this book. Taking a break from life and living in solitude to reconnect with who you are is probably what we all need to do in our life. Beautifully written, honest, profound thoughts, and empowering. I only have 5 years until my 50th and I know I am unfinished, but I embrace life everyday as I am reminded how precious everyday is. Be true to yourself no matter your age. Find and live your joy each day.

There is so much I love about this book!!! It makes me want to spend a year in solitude learning about who I and and who I want to be. Only 40 more pages to go, but my eyes are too tired to finish it tonight, but I am ❤️❤️❤️❤️ing it!
Happy Monday! Hoping to finish this on today before work or after a fundraising event tonight. Only 70 pages to go. I really want to take a year and go live by the sea to “find myself” or to get to know myself better. What a luxury. It would be meaningful for all of us to do.

#8intwo - I have exceeded 8 hours of reading today! Trying to finish “All the Single Ladies” and “A Year by the Sea” by 4:00 tomorrow... not sure it will happen, but a girl can dream.
I started reading this book years ago at the beach, but didn‘t finish so I am starting over again. Thomas Merton was mentioned in Traveling with Pomegranates, which I finished last week. I may need to reread Thomas as he keeps coming up in the books I am reading. ❤️ this quote and I think it is true!

pickThis book was recommended to me when I was turning 40. I grasped some of it, but at this age (51) I have far more in common with the author. She had lived a lot of life. Raised kids. And was searching for direction. So she went to the sea for a year. It's an amazing memoir, and high time I should re-read. #bookssetbythesea #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
