Loved how this Jane Austen Mystery begins on Christmas Eve & plays out over 12 Days of Christmas, ending w/ a 12th Night Ball. I've been reading matching day since Christmas Eve. Good solid mystery. Favorite thing - Jane & Cassandra giving their niece fancy outfits for her doll for each of 12 Days. I visited Jane's Hampshire in September, would truly love to see it during the Holidays.#wishfuldreaming #twelfthnight #janeite #12daysofbookmas

I love this little book. Great cocktails for every Holiday Event/ Chore from Thanksgiving to Ephinany My favorite is Cold Remedy. I make anytime I'm feeling a bit under the weather or overwhelmed in the Winter. Switch out the Chicken Broth to Veggie Broth to make it Vegetarian.

After busy New Year's Celebrations it's lovely to have a quiet day at home. I've got the book but haven't yet read it. Movie has been on DVR since Thanksgiving. I refuse to watch Christmas movies in November.
What do ya'll think? #movievsbook

PurpleyPumpkin I‘m with you, I like to read the book first! 13mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @PurpleyPumpkin The movie was just a bunch of sappy clichés with fake snow. Ugh! Hopefully book is better. But it has lots of pans so Im not expecting much. 13mo
PurpleyPumpkin Ugh, that‘s so disappointing. Well, the book is usually better, but I had no idea it had so many pans. I‘ve had this one on hold for a while. Maybe I should give it a pass.... I‘ll wait for your review. 13mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @PurpleyPumpkin The only similarities between book & movie is the Title, Girl named Darcy goes home, & both equally bad. It's like comparing bad apples to bad oranges. I'll tag you when I have a chance to a review. 13mo

I'm #offtobedfordshire with one of the few New Year's Day books by renowned author. It was a bit hard to find a copy. My Library had it in old collection of Edith Wharton. 🥂

I Love New Year's Eve. Chance to take stock & start a new. Sadly there are few New Year's Eve books. Did find tagged book but at 373 pages knew I wouldn't have time to read it. Plus it was $15.99
Kindle Unlimited has some perfectly dreadful looking ones that will make you want to bleach your brain. Went with short story Next Left (not in Litsy database). Not bad, obvious someone loves Kansas. 🎉

Crinoline_Laphroaig Can't remember much about Rainbow Rowell's Midnights. It's been awhile since I read it in 13mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig ^but I always love Rainbow Rowell may reread next year 13mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig Leslie Meier writes a lot of Holiday themed stories but haven't been up to reading new series. 13mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig Last years New Years Eve read was another cozy mystery. Vaguely remember it as ok but not much else. Need to jog my memory by reading my review 13mo

In case you were wondering. Colder in Ok than in Shetland. Perfect day to hang out by the fire w/ Darling Dahlias Garden Club. Love how author includes Liz's Garden Column and recipes. Not quite a standalone. I've read 1- 4 of this series so I knew characters but I was missing bits of the story. I need to catch up. Couple things I'm not sure about in this book will do a review later today. 🌬 #tobecontinued #holidayreads #12daysofbookmas

monkeygirlsmama Here in Broken Arrow I haven't felt inspired to get off the couch all day hardly cause it just doesn't look welcoming outside. LoL 13mo
monkeygirlsmama Read installments 8 and 9 of Saga. Now reading the first Paper Girls, and am getting ready to break my agreement with the couch and run to the store for a few minutes. 🙄😝 13mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @monkeygirlsmama I got out of my jammies and took a shower and put on clean jammies 13mo

"Professor McGonagall had come around the week before, making a list of students who would be staying for the holidays, and Harry had signed up at once. He didn‘t feel sorry for himself at all; this would probably be the best Christmas he‘d ever had." ? #holidaysathogwarts #day5 #12daysofbookmas
