@TheHeartlandBookFairy is once again hosting a summer challenge, reading or averaging a book of week between Memorial Day and Labor Day (US observed holidays). There‘s an extra week this year, so it‘s #14books14weeks . I‘ve scoured my shelves for books I need for challenges, or books that have been calling to me. Crossing my fingers that my work schedule calms down soon so I can do this! Thanks for hosting again, @TheHeartlandBookFairy !

TheHeartlandBookFairy Great stack! Good luck and, keep us posted 😁 5y
Ashley_Nicoletto I am very curious about this. 5y
Librarybelle @Ashley_Nicoletto If you visit @TheHeartlandBookFairy ‘s post, she has more details. Last year, she hosted #13books13weeks , which encouraged participants to read 13 books during the 13 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It was fun! Just a way to get through the tbr pile...you post what you plan to read for the challenge. 5y

The first Hercule Poirot novel. A great mystery and great introduction to our ami and his little grey cells. I read this many years ago and enjoyed this reread. This was Book 12 for #13books13weeks and unfortunately the last one.

Short story collections are hard to review. This had some excellent stories and a couple of snoozers. The stories were all mysteries centered around books.

This was Book 11 for #13books13weeks.

It had been about 15 years since I read Book 4 in this series, and I was worried that I wouldn‘t remember the pertinent characters and events from the previous books. Not the case, this was like talking to an old friend. An excellent story about the move to make Texas a state. Great characters and adventures. Now to read the next one before another 15 years pass. This was Book 8 for #13books13weeks

I am WAY behind on reviews, so sorry for the inundation over the next few days ☺️. This was a cute cozy mystery and the beginning of a series. The main character got on my nerves some, but the remaining cast was enough for me to put book two on my TBR. This was book 6 for the #13books13weeks.

Time for #SeptemberTBR! Three still lagging from previous months, 2 #readharder books - 1 paper, 1 from Scribd, two more paper books and two ebooks to help me #readmyowndamnbooks, finishing my last #13books13weeks book, a couple of library books, and a bunch of audios for the road trip part of our Norway trip.

Bklover Wow! This is an impressive goal! (Dostoyevsky!). Have fun on your Norway trip! 🇳🇴 6y
HannaPolkadots Where in Norway are you traveling? 6y
janeycanuck @Bklover I started it a month ago and am still only 30 pages in... not so impressive! 6y
janeycanuck @HannaPolkadots we started in Oslo for a few days and have now driven into the fjords for a few days of hiking (Kjerag, Preikestolen, Trolltunga) before heading into Bergen for a bit and ending with the Norway in a Nutshell tour to get us back to Oslo. We‘re loving it so far!! 6y

#13books13weeks complete! I made a huge dent in my #mountTBRchallenge. My favourite read was Mrs. Kimble. Thank you to @TheHeartlandBookFairy for hosting.

TheHeartlandBookFairy So happy that you joined us and made that big dent in your TBR pile! 6y

Not a lot of finished books this month, many thanks to IRL issues. But, I finished four books from my #MakeMeReadIt stack...thank you for hosting that, @TheReadingMermaid !

This also marks the end of #13books13weeks ...though I did read 13 books, they were not the books I designated for the reading. I finished 2 from that list. Thanks for hosting, @TheHeartlandBookFairy !

#13 of #13Books13Weeks!!! I may have inadvertently saved one of the best for last! This ARC has been on my TBR pile for almost 2 years. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this true story about the exploration of this ancient city & the quest to learn more about the civilization that populated it! Absolutely fascinating, reminiscent of the lost city of Z which I also loved. From informational to fascinating to gripping, this book will not disappoint!
