Shield of Sparrows | Devney Perry
post image

Ooh my #2025readingbracket is filling up fast! My favorite this month was Shield of Sparrows and I used my last wild card spot for my second favorite this month Conform. I cannot make a decide between Onyx or Shield though. I just know one of them will be my favorite of the year!

Sleep | Honor Jones
post image

It was too difficult to choose between Sleep & Night Swimmers. And I had to do it because there was no way I was about to knock off Hilary Mantel‘s book (which I still think is going to win) to add one of them to the Wild Card space.

Fortunately, I‘d already filled September in as soon as I finished Sleep (long before I picked up Night Swimmers). So, the decision was made for me by Past Me. 😅

Clam Down was too singular to NOT win August.

The Wedding People also gets high honors…but not high enough to replace Eight Bears as the Wild Card.

…Bears, and clams, and Moomin. Oh my!

Three Shattered Souls | Mai Corland

My #2025readingbracket is filling up fast! My favorite this month was Three Shattered Souls but I‘m still loving the Powerless series so much! There are soo many new books being released these next few months so I‘m hopeful there will be plenty of five star reads ahead! Can‘t wait to see how everyone‘s brackets are progressing!

CSeydel Filling up nicely! Great bracket 👍 2mo

Stanmore couldn‘t have stood less of chance.

However, much as I loved Idle Grounds, Moominland knocked it out of the running on the left side of the board. AND, much as I loved Moominland, I expect my Wild Card to sideswipe it in the end.

The drama!!!

monalyisha *Technically,* Anne of Green Gables should‘ve won the spot this month. But it‘s a long-time favorite. If I include it, I know it‘ll cease being a competition. So, let‘s agree to ignore technicalities. I almost always do, anyway! 😜 4mo
peanutnine I don't count rereads for my brackets, it feels like cheating and I want to see what new favorites I acquire! So I totally get you on that 4mo
monalyisha @peanutnine @CSeydel Glad we‘re in agreement about how to rebel! 😎 4mo
