Burnt Sugar | Avni Doshi

Burnt Sugar was book #50 for 2022. It's a big deal to me to finally meet my 50 books in a year goal, which I've had for about 15 yrs. I usually fall short somewhere in the 40s. I can't believe I met my goal two months early! I used to feel bad that I didn't read more books in a year, but I've gotten over that as I've gotten older. I'm grateful for the things that are taking up my time and keeping me from reading.

Omg..this was such a delicious book to devour..my favorites are so far Kaladin and Dalinar...
Will continue to the second one once I've read a couple smaller ones to give my wrists a break.

A sequel to, Find Me, but good enough to mostly stand on its own if you haven‘t read the first book. I highly recommend the first book though, not only was it a great read but you‘ll understand the characters better. I liked the small scope feel of Tell Me, it doesn‘t cover a large expanse of time or region. I‘ll be picking up the next book in the series for sure! Book #50 in 2022

Have been anxious to read 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐝, 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐝 by 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞, so was delighted to receive a copy via Novel Suspects! I'm spending Saturday night reading book #50 of 2022. After carpal tunnel surgery on Mon., it's uncomfortable to use the computer keyboard so reviews will have to wait a bit.

Book 5 of the original Babysitters Club series. And with this book I've made my initial reading goal for the year by the end of 6 months. #50-2022

Book #50
✅ A book you know nothing about: Beyond Enemy Lines by Jessica Legendre ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was only 40 pages. I found the story to be very engaging & the writing is great. Yes, there are some errors. Missing of some articles in sentences & using lowercase instead of uppercase at the beginning of sentences. I understand the author can hire an editor or take the time to edit the book and publish a polished copy. Reason for the missing star.

PageShifter This sounds interesting! 7mo
WJCintron @PageShifter It‘s very short and if you like romance, you‘ll enjoy it. It gets quite smutty/spicy at the end. The story leaves you wanting to know more. There‘s no resolution. The downfall is there are grammar issues like no capitalization of words at the beginning of sentences, BUT if you can see past that, you‘ll enjoy a quick romance/paranormal story. 😃👍 7mo

Martha, at age 79, wants some changes in her life and decides to commit a white collar crime with her friends at the retirement house who will help her. The scenes were unrealistic, absurds, but funny. However, I think it was too long with unnecessary scenes. Sometimes i just felt bored. 3 ⭐️

Book #50: I cannot wait to watch the show now!! I‘ve seen mixed reviews from fellow readers on the book so I recommend reading it and forming your own opinion. It‘s very character-centric, so if that‘s your thing - like it is mine - then you will definitely like this book. I need to read more of this author.
