This will forever be the book that drove home the points that the movie is almost always different and that the book is almost always better.
(Very young me saw the movie first then read the book. The only thing the movie improved was the ruby slippers over silver.)

Mother‘s Day is hard for me. I lost my mom 5 years ago on the Tuesday, right after Mother‘s Day—just like it is this year & I miss her even more than normal. I‘m extremely #grateful that we had such a strong & loving relationship though. The Little House books were her favorites & she read & shared them with me & they‘re the books I associate the most with her & so they are one of my #7Days7Books picks.💜
