Started to watch this series. It follows the book very well. And it's just visually stunning. But.. I was busy doing things when I was watching (like it was in the background) so I might restart it soon (got to episode 3?)

I found this chapter so beautiful & emotional. Matthew‘s gentle side shines in his interaction with kids trick or treating. I tear up reading this chapter when they prepare to leave the house.

Librarybelle This was a sweet chapter, with lots of love but yet you could feel the sorrow and the uncertainty. 2y

MoonWitch94 @Librarybelle I think that‘s why it makes me tear up. It‘s bittersweet & you can really feel the sorrow. Especially when Matthew is interacting with the kids; it made me think of how he must‘ve been a good Dad to his son who died. 2y

Lynnsoprano That fairy princess‘s cousin visited our house last night! She was this beautiful little girl with a group who were all a bit older, who all pushed ahead of her to get candy. Like Matthew, I can‘t give kids just one piece, and we had far fewer kids than previous years-even last year, amazingly. So little princess got 4 pieces of candy, and I‘m getting choked up just thinking about the expression on her face. 2y
