I feel like this trilogy could also be called Crazy Rich Vampires, with all their private jets and rare artwork and labs and houses. Richness aside, this is somewhere between pick and so-so. The beginning was good, then it got bit boring, and then interesting again, and it all wrapped up so nicely (and a bit too quickly maybe) so I had to go with pick. 📚📚 #allsoulstrilogy #vampires #witches #magic #daemons
Stopped by Bath and Body Works after work today. I couldn‘t help myself after smelling this. I had to get it! And I rewarded myself with a bath afterwards.
Things are getting more interesting in the book. I definitely will have to get the new one about Marcus after I finish.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 3.5 Stars
The final installment in the #AllSoulsTrilogy. I loved how the trilogy all wrapped up, but took me almost halfway through to really get interested in it. It was at this point that I couldn‘t put it down.
I‘m going to miss their story continuing, but I think anything more would be too much. This was perfect.
Can‘t wait to see book 2 and 3 adapted for the tv show. 📺
This final book in this trilogy had everything you want in a book. Dianna and Matthew are still selling the elusive Book of Life while trying to avoid the ones that are trying to tear them apart, a couple of them would love to do just that very literally. Will Dianna ever learn to control her magic and to what extent is she willing to go through to do just that? Every question is answered in this final installment! Great read!!
Really appreciating this title page as I start the last of this trilogy for the fifth (?) time.

[ETA: my apologies for the ridiculous hashtags ^^ above. I am having the most amazing summer but I‘m also not sleeping enough and it‘s clearly catching up with me 😉]
Finishing this book felt like ending a chapter in my life and it was so sad. It was the definition of book hangover! I love these characters and the story they told! The best finish I could‘ve imagined for this series. The audiobook performance for these was like living the books (not true for the audio of Time‘s Convert) and it was just amazing.
I adored this series. Even though there were so many characters, I felt like each was distinct, and that I really knew all of them. I loved the amount of detail each book in the trilogy had, especially the second one (which might be my favorite - I‘m a sucker for middle installments). This will be the next series I endlessly try to persuade my friends and family to read 🙃 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yes I'm reading a library book at my bookshop ? & yes for the next 15 to 20 minutes (yeah sure Maddie) you can catch me actually reading in the shop. So many people make comment "that it must be nice to read all day" & that rarely happens. I'm close to finishing the final book AND I'm determined to beat the lady at the library who wins the Summer Reading Program EVERY YEAR ?...so I'm breaking from work to read. It is a bookshop after all ???.
Unpopular opinion: I hated this book. It elicited more eye-rolling and groaning than any other book I‘ve ever read. Though the audio narration was fantastic, there was nothing to be done about the overwritten prose or unnecessarily endless expansion of royally flat, boring cast characters. Every minute of getting through this book was incredibly painful for me.
This was my third reading of the All Souls Trilogy, I find I enjoy this book more each time. A satisfying conclusion to one of my favourite witch / vampire romance novels 🖤🖤🖤. Went to a lovely Italian restaurant for lunch yesterday ( read this book as I enjoyed a fabulous meal)
Luna and I are looking for some suggestions for our next read when we finish this! I‘ve been on a YA fantasy kick pretty much since last summer, but I‘ve really enjoyed the All Souls Trilogy. I would love some other adult series or stand-alone books to look in to!! Give me some of your all-time faves 🙌 I love trilogies, but I‘m open to just about anything, and not just fantasy genre! #catsoflitsy #tbr #recommendsday
We had state testing today, and the kids were getting restless after reading for a while when we were waiting for the session to be over... and I definitely considered bribing them with candy so I could get a good start on this 😂 only made it ten pages so far, but hoping to make a bigger dent tonight!
Finally finished Shadow of Night! It was definitely dense, but I really enjoyed the attention to detail. I‘m a little nervous about how some of Diana‘s choices might affect the last book, however 😅 I also really enjoyed the historical fiction aspects of Shadow of Night. I may even add some more historical fic to my upcoming tbr list 🧐 For now, on to book three!
Due to demands on my time from competition training at the gym, I ended up taking a very long and sad break from reading. After many, many months - I finally finished!
My comments on Shadow of Night stand here as well; the first half of the Book of Life is a long ol' slog - a little talky for me. The second half had me HOOKED though. Could not put it down!
A little part of my fantasy-obsessed teenage self cried with delight. Such a good ending.
FINALLY complete. I have a very complicated relationship with this series 🤔 it‘s difficult to rate.
-The small amount of info there was about witchcraft was fun
-Wrapped up the series nicely
-Good message about equality
-Too much about vampires, not enough about witches!
-Nasty/disturbing villain (I find a lot of villains still likeable, this one was just disgusting🤢)
-Too much history, reads like a research paper at times
I‘ve got my hands in 2 different books (1 murder mystery and 1 biblio mystery that is slow-moving but I‘m keen on finishing it in what‘s left of this year). But when The Book of Life arrived, I had to abandon everything else and dive right in. What a thoroughly enchanting conclusion to a tale fraught with cunning & pitfalls of the heart! I wish it didn‘t end.
Taking a break from chores so here is a pic of my lunch. I'm so proud of my daughter who ingeniously surprised me with apple-cider, cranberry granola clusters by mixing the Granola in my #SSS package from @ferskner they are delicious and are going well with book and #SwissMiss from my #SSS package from @Wonderwoman89 Shout out for @Avanders for "playing ?" this year ?

Another beautifully embossed cover 😁 from my #SSS package from @Wonderwoman89 who did an excellent job selecting books that I'm going to really enjoy. Im glad that @Avanders started up this very merry swap!
I've seen posts about #Time'sConvert here on Litsy lately so I'd love to hear from those that have read this particular volume.

Look at this colorfully awesome package I received from @Wonderwoman89 ! So much exciting stuff in this package! I will have to detail everything in upcoming posts. We just adore this Swiss Miss Cocoa variety pack. My daughter is already planning a nice Cocoa party for us Saturday morning☕
Thanks for spectacular box of goodies you did a stellar job 😁👍👍🎄
The last book in the “All SoulsTrilogy” is done! Mostly a satisfying end to this story arc about Diana & Mathew but there were a few unanswered questions. Like, did Diana time walk back to Phillipe when the Nazis had him? Where is Gallowglass? And what purpose did it serve having the (spoilers) ghosts in the beginning of the book, then never mentioning them again?(except for 1 exchange) #wheresmygallowglassbook #andphillipeysabeauandmarthe
Just started this ebook, which is book 3. Have read the first two. Review when I finish!
#BookMail Pt3 is the 3rd book in the All Souls trilogy. This is the one I haven‘t finished yet, I‘m about 25% done with the audiobook so far. This is the conclusion to Mathew & Diana‘s story(so far) & their quest to find the missing pages of the Ashmole book. I‘m quite enjoying this series, I really hope the last 75% of this book doesn‘t suck!
I read the first two books in 2013, and either my tastes have changed a whole lot since, or this book was just not as good as the other two.
The book was way too long, there was so much annoyingly superfluous detail, and major issues turned out to be no big deal, while the big villain came out of nowhere. Diana and Matthew even annoyed me with all of their perfection. Not sorry I finished, but I‘m glad it‘s over.🤷🏻♀️
