A coworker let me borrow this after she read it with her IRL book club. It was really good!
A coworker let me borrow this after she read it with her IRL book club. It was really good!
Starting this one next! I‘m planning to sit out here and read until it gets too hot.
Finished this one sitting outside enjoying the nice weather this morning. I enjoyed it! #LMPBC #GroupL @sprainedbrain @persephone1408 @TheSpineView
A little #lunchtimereading on the fine Friday. I just had to get out of the office.
This is my #BFC2022 April update and May goals. A lot of life stuff happened for me in April. Including the passing of my kitty, Biel and doing a memorial service for my Dad who passed in January. So, I didn‘t do as well on my April goals. I was able to keep my 3 no sweets days most of the month and I walked a lot more. Keeping the same goals for May. See comments.
The Silence of the Girls was very good! It was definitely not my usual read and a tad gross for my taste but it was so well done. I did not finish The Gilded Wolves so I do t feel like I should review it. I just never got into it. 🤷🏻♀️These are my #LMPBC reads for this last round and will both be in the mail today. #GroupV #GroupL
Finished this one over my lunch break today. Then I went on a walk to the art garden. #LunchtimeReading #BookandLunch Book 4 in my #Dresden #Series #Reread
This has been making my commute much better for the past little while. I really enjoyed getting to spend more time in the world of P&P with one of the Bennett sisters. Very well done! #audio #audiocommute
I am so late finishing my second first #LMPBC book for this round. I am getting both this one and Rivers of London in the mail today. #GroupL #GroupV This one was a soft pick for me. I enjoyed it mostly and it could be my mood lately but I just couldn‘t get over that she was complaining a lot about getting to spend literal years living in France. 🤷🏻♀️
Finally getting around to my #BFC2022 March updates and April goals! @wanderinglynn
I did okay in March considering I was on vacation for a while and sick for the last week. I kept up reasonably well with workouts and no sweets days but I was by no means perfect. I would like to get into a routine for my workouts and would like to do better on my writing goals. I‘m planning to keep the same goals for April. See comments.
This had a slow start. I almost dnf‘d it but I‘m glad I stuck it out! It was a cute cozy mystery! I came home sick with a stomach bug today and left my other current read at the office. 😞 It all worked out anyway though bc I was too cold to hold up a book and finished this one on #audio instead.
#WondrousWednesday Thanks for the tag! @Eggs
1. Shelfie where I keep my TBR and recent reads. It‘s a little junky right now. 🤷🏻♀️
2. I read for fun so I don‘t know that I would say anything I read is important.
3. I haven‘t bailed on anything this year but I am so close on The Windup Girl. It‘s been pretty gross so far.
This was such a good book! The storyline was great. The characters were likable and there was plenty of crazy magic stuff going on. This is my #LMPBC pick for #GroupL. Starting The Windup Girl, my #GroupV book for this round next!
The hubs and I listened to this one on our trip to South Florida this past week. I have read the entire series but it was quite awhile ago and I thought he‘d like them. This is a view from the top of Ft. Jefferson on the big island in Dry Tortugas NP.
I finished this one over my lunch break today. #Lunchtimereading This was between a pick and a so-so for me. I chose so-so because I felt like the message could have been delivered with more finesse. I am planning to get this in the mail this afternoon #LMPBC @babyruth2510 @cwarnier @Kangaj1 Thanks for an interesting round!
#BFC2022 @wanderinglynn
I am keeping my March goals the same as my February goals. I slacked off a bit the last two weeks of February due to a road trip we took to Missouri in connection with the recent passing of my father. So, I am giving myself some grace for that.
Hey #LMPBC #GroupV! Here are some picks from my TBR shelf. Don‘t mind the kitty butt in the shot. She wouldn‘t move. Let me know what you like, don‘t like, have already read.
Hey, #LMPBC #GroupL! Here is what I picked out for this round. See anything you like, hate, have already read? I realized that most of my mysteries are books in a series so there‘s not much mystery here. I think these two mysteries are technically thrillers. 🤷🏻♀️ Let me know what you think!
Doing a little #LunchtimeReading today. This is another good installment in the Dresden Files #series!
I just signed up for #LMPBC round 14! I started another fantasy group (group L). Come join me in reading some fun fantasy! I‘ll put the sign up link below or go check out @suvata page for more info!

This was so good! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I didn‘t have another pic of this book and I have already packaged it to mail to @babyruth2510 for #LMPBC. Sorry it‘s a little late. So I thought I would post a pic of my cat instead. #CatsOfLitsy Anyway, the book was good, a soft pick for me. It had a lot of heart and was a quick read.
#BFC2022 January check in. I did pretty well for the first three weeks but my Dad passed away on the 21st and I did not do too well after that. I‘m planning to keep my February goals the same and recommit.
Feb goals:
📚 3 books
🧘🏻♀️ meditate most days
🏃♀️ workout most days
✍️ write/journal most days
🧁 at least 3 no sweets days a week
@wanderinglynn
My Dad passed away last week. I spent the past week in California clearing out his place with my sister. Today I am grateful to be home eating breakfast in my jammies. I didn‘t get to this #LMPBC book as soon as planned but I‘m going to get it read and in the mail asap. Today seems like a good day to sit on the couch and read.
Starting this one today! So excited! #LunchtimeReading
This was such a good book! I‘m not even sure I can put into words how good it was. 🥰. #CatsofLitsy
Got this from a page I follow on fb. I just had to share it with people who understand. This is so true! 😂😂😂
I thought I would do a little #BFC2022 weekly update. I was gifted this nice monthly planner for Christmas and since I already had a regular planner, I decided to make this a goals planner. I‘ve gone though January and marked down my daily goals so I can keep up. This week went well. I met all my fitness/health goals and am on track to meet my reading goal for the month as well! 🎉 @wanderinglynn
I finished this one over my lunch break yesterday. #lunchtimereading #bookandlunch Another good installment in this #cozy #series!
So excited to start this tonight! I feel like I‘m cheating on the other book I‘m reading by starting a new one but I left it at the office… 😬
#BFC2022 @wanderinglynn
January goals:
📚 Read 3 books
🏃♀️ Workout most days
🧘🏻♀️ Meditate at least 5 minutes every day
🧁 3 sweets free days a week
✍️ Write something creative or journal most days
Getting in a little reading by the tree today. It‘s my birthday so I took the day off work. I started this book this afternoon while getting my hair done. So excited to actually have a Christmas book to read during the holidays!
Finished this one today over my lunch break. #LunchTimeReading It was a soft pick for me. It started out slowly and was inconsistent afterward. It does; however, have a good heart to the story and I wanted to know what happened to the characters. It definitely delivers on that last part. I‘ll get this out in the mail soon. #LMPBC @babyruth2510 @cwarnier @Kangaj1
I finished this one over my lunch break today. It was alright - not what I expected at all. I‘m not into history much so it was a bit dry in places to me which means it took me awhile to read it. I think that others may enjoy it more though. Which is a good thing because this is my #LMPBC book for this round. How‘s that for a recommendation? Would y‘all rather I chose a different book and sent it out instead? @babyruth2510 @cwarnier @Kangaj1
1. Jessica Fletcher from Murder She Wrote. I think she‘d have lots of great stories, would let me read when I wanted to, and maybe we‘d solve a murder whilst stuck in the house!
2. Get some exercise, if you feel up to it and then eat the extra calories you burn in comfort food.
3. Really any murder mystery will do. Cozies welcome and appreciated as well.
#SundayFunday @ozma.of.oz I hope y‘all are doing alright in quarantine! Hang in there!
Finished this over my lunch break today. #LunchtimeReading It‘s another good installment in the Dresden Files #Series. This is a #reread for me. I started this series years ago and am just now picking it back up so I am rereading from the beginning.
I‘m trying to do a little better at posting what I‘m reading. I started a reread of the Dresden series a few weeks ago. This is book two. Also, how cute is my little kitty sitting on my clean blankets? #CatsOfLitsy #PetsOfLitsy
Just finished this snuggled on my couch. It‘s a soft pick for me as it was a difficult read but I enjoyed its spirit and I did want to finish the story. This is my last #LMPBC book for the last round. I‘m late finishing it but it will be headed back to you, @ozma.of.oz soon! @kellyann28 @Endowarrior21
#SundayFunday @ozma.of.oz
1. 👻🦇🎃
2. Either is fine. I don‘t read many collections.
3. The Cask of Amontillado.
I completed my Goodreads challenge for this year! I know it‘s not as many books as most of y‘all read but it‘s a lot for me. 📚🎉
Please join me in welcoming my friend, coworker, and fellow book lover Brandi @Brandalyn_Gertrude to Litsy!!
#WondrousWednesday @Eggs
1. Yes, just a regular what‘s going on in my life journal. I don‘t write in it as often as I used to but I try to keep it updated with the big things.
2. Not really. A lot going on.
3. Grateful for the cooler temps we‘re having.
Wanna play along? @Brandalyn_Gertrude 😁
