Although I am not big fan of Shumer's comedy, her writing surprised me in a good way. She was unapologetically honest and hilarious. She has earned a special place in my heart with this book. #thegirlwiththelowerbacktattoo #amyschumer

Mindy Kaling is my fave, I can listen/read her memoirs/essays over and over. Amy Schumer's is my most recent fave, mainly because I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

Obviously there are so many others that I loved but these came to mind first 😊

I'm really surprised by how much I liked this. Her humor has never really matched up to mine (and I know she has some white privilege issues), but I can't resist a funny lady memoir, and so I gave it a go. This was GREAT - she made me laugh, but there were also some really poignant pieces as well. I really want to see Trainwreck now.

August was full of great reads but #AmySchumer and #AmandaLovelace's books are definitely my #FaveReadsOfAugust. Listening to Amy narrate her book was like getting to know new best friend. And reading Amanda's poems was like experiencing snap shots of my own life. I love that I get to kick off the #SeptPhotoChallenge with these books!
