I picked up this concept art for work at the LQ auction in 2023. I was already stoked, but then Vo added this sweet card AND sent me a holiday card. I put the art on display, but I can‘t way to integrate it more meaningfully into programming.

This book was so good! A gothic, forest setting with a Caraval-style magic system. I loved that the families were named for trees, and I loved the rhyming way the nightmare spoke. Can't wait for the next one.

My #Marchtbr I find I do so much better reading my own shelves when I have a plan for the month. And I'm so close at finishing the Amelia Peabody series which makes me a little sad, I'll just have to start them all over again.

Laura Sebastian has become one of my favourite authors. I absolutely loved this and never wanted it to end. Triplets who have been raised since birth to help their month conquer their world start to see that maybe there's more to life than lies and politics. I loved all three storylines and this book is for anyone who loved Kendare Blake's Three Dark Crowns series.

I really don't know about this one. I loved The Lonely Hearts Hotel, but this I struggled with. I'm sure it would make a good book club selection as it covers tons of women's rights and ideas to discuss, but I didn't find any of the characters likable. Because of that, I really didn't care what happened to them. This is one that I think alot of people can go either way with.

I get picture books from the #timberlandregionallibrary to read, review, and decide to purchase for my school library. The first thing I noticed about this copy is that the pages were already well loved by someone who needed to hear this story over and over. Or someone was going back and forth once they knew how to break the code. #everybodybook

I love Julia Stuart. She writes such lovely, quiet books. There is always just a bit of magic, and I can't help loving the quirky characters. An interesting look at pearl fishing as well, which I didn't even know had existed in Scotland.

I really enjoyed this one, I'm not sure why its rating is so low. The author does a great job of putting the reader into the story, and the sense of time is perfect. It reminded me of a cross between Sherlock Holmes and The Gods of Gotham. Now to watch the movie!

mabell I was just in the bookstore tonight and heard the owner having to explain to a customer that they sold the last copy of this! How funny! 1y
BooksNBowls How was the movie? I‘ve been debating giving it a watch! 1y
