My parents never did that, we woke up early Christmas day, open presents then had a nice breakfast and played the rest of day. After had a family of my own I kepted that except we tried to visit family.
Every year my family and I go on a drive of the area looking at the best and brightest Xmas lights. We finish at a house which is. bananas about Christmas lights and they raise money for charity from all the people that come to see it. The historical facts felt accurate but curated and I wasn't sure if the history on the cutting room floor was for length or if facts didn't align with the underlying message. The publisher strove to make all traditions relevant and “OK“ for modern Christians, even those traditions with a pagan past.
