Terlu broke the law and was turned into a statue as punishment so it was quite a surprise when she woke up in a snowy forest six years later.
Terlu was sent to the island of Belde, home of an enchanted greenhouse that is failing and the gardener who hopes she can save it.
So cozy and sweet, with a found family of sentient plants and learning that you are worth sticking around for.
Singing plants and honey cakes. It‘s exactly what I needed. Me being me, I could have done without the romance. But I liked the vibe and also the hope.
#Pemberlittens how was your August? Caught up on Rational Creatures & Dangerous To Know Anthologies. Really enjoyed NA & MP stories.
MP movie changed important things so it wasn't really in the spirit of Jane. But if you ignored that it was good.
Tagged book is part of Murder on Location series. Not MP but I enjoyed.
Jane Was Here was a delight!
Jane's part of The Watsons was brilliant. Continuation was mediocre.
#JaneAustenThenAndNow
My favorite things in this series is the locations, this time Bath, Jane Austen mentions, and the ongoing romance.
I've been gradually working my way thru. This was perfect for this month's #ThematicCozies theme of Travel. I'll return to it @julieclair for December's Holiday prompt.
This one took way too long to read. It wasn‘t as good as the first one. The story took a long time to get going and didn‘t have the build up that the first one did (which maybe it wasn‘t meant to have). I ended up skipping pages at the end just to finish it.
Now that comps are over I‘m treating myself to all the books that have been languishing on my TBR ♥️ that‘s right— I‘m rewarding myself for reading by reading 😉 I also bought beautiful hardback editions bc I‘m fancy & this one has blue edges!
I never read The Spellshop but this book made me want to so I‘m sure it‘s in my reading future! Such a heartfelt novel, with lush descriptions— it was truly enchanting meeting all the plants & living here
