Today's theatre experience: Austen's Pride 💖🎶📖
This was such a lovely musical with the best parts of Pride and Prejudice, framed by the narrative of Austen's writing and editing of the story. Funny and sweet and highly enjoyable
It's well established in the book that Mrs Bennett was a beauty "in her youth" so this illustration made me laugh. At the time of the novel she'd likely be 45 at most (probably closer to 40) yet this artist chose to make her look a great deal older. ?

pickI absolutely delighted in reading this book. Fantastic from beginning to end, I can‘t wait to read all of Austen.
I have to highlight on of my P&P books for #soldiers , as I immediately think of the regiment stationed in Meryton, and of course Wickham, the soldier we all love to hate! This edition features recipes from Martha Stewart between the chapters of P&P. It‘s colorful! #200PnPCovers
