I'm a big fan of rereading so this list could be very long but here are my top three comfort rereads:

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
2. The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
3. Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

They all have different vibes depending on what mood I'm in ☺️

After two and a half weeks, finally finished this beautiful book! It took me a few chapters to get into, but it was a way easier read after I watched the 2005 movie. 5⭐️

I did it! I finished P&P, probably my only classic for the year.

I know there are a lot of folks who love Austen, and I can see why. I find classics challenging to read, but the personalities of Lizzie and Darcy were funny and genuine enough to pull me through.

Thank you #AuthorAMonth readers for voting Austen one of this year‘s authors and inspiring me to give this a try. I will say I didn‘t love it, but I am glad I read it.

Having heard me say, more than once or twice, that Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books EVER, my daughter decided to read it…and then she said she was going to read Great Expectations after it, that she wanted to read classics to slow her brain down and do something other than homework. Seeing an opportunity to reread a favorite, I suggested we do a buddy read and she agreed! Looking forward to reading and talking about it with her…

While I've read Pride and Prejudice many times, this was my first time listening to an audiobook version and I really enjoyed it. Rosamund Pike is amazing of course! I read this chapter by chapter along with the Live from Pemberley podcast. I learned a bunch and enjoyed the new perspectives and commentary.

I'm surprised how fast I've finished this but it was also such a lovely, refreshing read.

These last few chapters have such lovely descriptions

Something to motivate me to read more books from my library after I finish P&P

I love D&D and I love Books so I've decided to combine the two for this personal challenge.

I was trying to stay impartial to Mr. Darcy but it seems that he is a book nerd, so by law I have to like him now.

I feel like in all the Pride and Prejudice series/film adaptations I've watched (1995/2005) I only thought of Mr. Bingley as “just nice“ but in the book, it's more apparent that he IS nice but, he is also very sincere. I guess It's very hard to capture sincerity on the screen, without actually showing it, though there are hardly any circumstances for him to do that, without it just reading as politeness. That's the beauty of books as a medium.

I didn't expect Lizzy to be roasted so early on, but that's on me.

Shout out to my daughter who was out shopping with friends when she saw this edition of Pride and Prejudice, thought I might like it, and got it for me (she‘s right, I do) and my friend who, knowing how much I love Ahsoka, got this mug for me. So much awesomeness—the first day of spring is off to a great start!

1. Well I tried coming up with one that wasn‘t predictable for me (hence the day late post), but might as well go with the tried and true - Elizabeth Bennet

2. I think she‘d be one of the Bene Gesserit women in Dune. Though she may have a hard time controlling her laughter.

These two #PrideAndPrejudice movie adaptations are on #Netflix for no extra money. Two I haven‘t seen…yet! #Pemberlittens

Asked Santa for an early Christmas present that'll be a tad delayed as it is a pre-order.

For those who might not know this about me, I am quite fond of the tagged title and greatly enjoy modern retellings of it. Although this is not the latter, it IS a new edition of the classic, designed by Nerdy Ink, due out in February 2023.

📖 8-23-22 || When my daughter was assigned P&P for summer reading and asked me to read it together, how could I say no?! It‘s my fifth read and it‘s still one of my favorites. Now…onto the 1995 BBC Pride and Prejudice movie!

💚 I really did not want to read “Pride and Prejudice” as a kid and then as an adult I was really hesitant to reread it. I am going to classify it as a romance for the sake of the post because that is what I thought it was before I did my reread of it in college.
