I once found myself inching down that road, but luckily turned back before I got anywhere near as far as she did. The moment she finally listens to and trusts her intuition is glorious!

I could not stop listening, I was just so compelled. I first heard about this case from the show How I Escaped My Cult. The author was one of the people interviewed for the show. This is much more of a deep dive into not just the case, but the church, and the Leonard family.

I feel like the true perpetrator of every atrocity that ever happened in that church, Tiffanie, got off with one of the lightest sentences. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 23h

I liked this book very much. We read about 5 survivors of a cult, 120 of whom disappeared almost 15 years ago. DiLouie weaves their present and past together giving them this tortured and tragic, kicked out of Eden vibes mixed with “what did happen to us? Maybe we should go back and find out?” I loved it all and really wished the best for these people. I listened to it on audio while roadtripping and was hooked the whole time. Pick!
