The book Zuckerberg does not want people to read. The author cannot promote it but Macmillan can sell it- The story is on my IG if anyone is interested.
Anyone one else hear about this book?
#taxtherich #noologarchy

seibelsays It is WILD that the author can't promote the book. 4d

jen_the_scribe I have not heard of this one, but this is one of many reasons why I love Litsy. Word of mouth gets more books read than anything else. Stacked, and I plan to share my insights on it when I do read it. 4d

TheBookgeekFrau I ordered it Saturday right after I saw something on instagram about the author not being able to promote it on Meta platforms. 4d
Bookwormjillk It was in a bookshop.org email when it came out. I put it on library hold based on the blurb, but this makes me want to buy a copy. 4d
lil1inblue I stacked the book as soon as I read your first sentence. My loathing of Zuckerberg (and most tech bros) knows no bounds. I will be buying multiple copies of this book. 4d
DogMomIrene My library doesn‘t have a copy yet. I hit that Notify Me tag in Libby and I‘ll let that cook. If I get itchy to read this one, I‘ll buy it. Because Zuck just disgusts me. I‘m surprised more of his employees aren‘t telling their tales. I‘m thinking there‘s a market for them and I‘d guess different people from different areas with various levels of access would have things to share🤞🏼 4d
Cuilin There is a TikTok account reading excerpts from it!!!! 4d
Deblovestoread As soon as I read she couldn‘t promote it I ordered a copy. B&N had it at $5 off when I ordered mine. 4d

4½✨

Such beautiful, elegant writing.
Such a sad and heartbreaking tale.

Poor Gatsby, I feel he deserved better.

I feel that this is a very “noisy” book, very much a product of the 1980s (certainly in the era before the stock market crash of October 1987). But covering, as it does, manipulation of the media, corruption, and people from all sectors using an accident to further their own careers/funds, it has as much relevance today, as it did when it was first published in 1987. It‘s sad how little some things have chan

This was unputdownable for me! The whole time I questioned every character (they were all pretty sketchy) and whether or not they were telling the truth. But as the title suggests, this is a story about a mother and daughter, and the strength of that bond.

tpixie @DebinHawaii I just finished what may end up being one of my favorite reads for 2025- although it‘s a little early for that. Great writing, a strong, remarkable woman, & a wonderful marriage 3w

The Great Gatsby | F. Scott Fitzgerald

A couple of #SundayBuddyRead books where F. Scott Fitzgerald is mentioned have made me want to reread The Great Gatsby again (my first time since high school) so I‘m making it my pick for #FictionalTraveler March: #BigCity

While I‘m reading the edition with the iconic blue cover, the 2013 movie tie-in cover & the movie itself have more than one beautiful #EveningGown soI‘m using it for today‘s #CoverStories prompt.
