Also done #FictionalTraveler already! September is English-Speaking and I read a greatly-updated graphic re-imagining of the Huckleberry Finn story. It's excellent. @julieclair

#Read2025

Finished in August & read this #BOTM novel for #FictionalTraveler August #Hot (it‘s set in a desert compound in the summer).

I am a sucker for reality television drama even though I rarely watch it these days so I quite enjoyed this dystopian version. For a debut novel, it was well done & I liked the elements of reality tv & looking at what is truth versus fiction. It had both dark humor & a few mild thrills & twists thrown in.

DieAReader Fantastic!! 4d
julieclair Sounds like a fun read! 4d

Set in Ireland (and I have a weakness for Irish settings 😂) so this is my pick for September‘s #fictionaltraveler!

What a magnificent tale of loss, grief and ethical uncertainty.

Typically, I'm not a fan of the literary genre, but this one really fascinated me.
This enigmatic, heartfelt journey through the Amazon, being immersed in a different culture while grappling with personal inner turmoil just worked for me.

Now I will also need to explore Bel Canto.

Continental Drifter is an excellent graphic memoir about a childhood spent between Bangkok and Maine, and the search for belonging.

And it has a lighthouse on the cover, so that's July done! #ISpyBingo #ISpy @TheAromaOfBooks

Also. Bangkok is Somewhere Hot @julieclair #FictionalTraveler

julieclair Wow, congrats on completing July! I have been working on all 12 months all year, and I still don‘t have any one month totally completed. 2w
